General Information about receiving the Setanta Sports Satellite TV Channel in New Zealand.

To receive the 24/7 Setanta Sports Satellite TV channel you will require a subscription payable in advance which as approx NZ$15.75 per month with a minimum of six months; that�s approx $3.75  per week!!! � this amount will vary a little due to currency exchange fluctuations between the NZ and Aus dollar.  

You will require a special approved IRDETO 2 receiver at $250.00 plus shipping. This receiver is pretuned for Setanta and for 25 plus free to air TV channels, and a similar number of radio channels. You will require an operational 60cm dish plus LNBF etc tuned to the Optus D2 satellite. A full kit of quality hardware can be supplied at competitive rates. Installation can be arranged in most locations, or you can �do-it-yourself�. Sometimes, it is possible to use an existing sky dish with a bracket for an additional LNBF; a second cable is required to run to your Setanta decoder.

Subscription Proceedure:

You will need to fill out an AAACom subscription form, fax or scan and email to them the completed form as per the details below. Note: all subscription inquires should be directed to this organisation for Setanta Sports.

After a few days you will receive your subscription card � sometimes called a smartcard. This should be sent to Telsat Communications Ltd, 106 Pacific Drive, Palmerston North where it will be integrated with your IRDETO 2 receiver that you need to purchase. Telsat will then contact the satellite uplinking facility in Australia to have your card and receiver authorised to receive the Setanta Sports TV channel. This is followed by a 24hour �soak� test period, at the conclusion of this test period, your receiver and subscription card will be shipped to you for integration to your operational satellite dish and TV receiver.
