Looks like a typically small Sydney crowd

Maybe they should've got Larissa Riquelme over

Why did Kewell walk off at half time with a Paraguay jersey and minus his Australian shirt?
Weird.

I have undertaken research of the figure and believe it to be 25,210, which an in initial guess is quite satisfactory.

With time on the side of Wellington to promote this game, and with footage of their recent playing style available via a neighbour there is the benefit of wisdom for Wellington officials.

Comparatively that crowd was worse than Auckland's.  Also, man I dislike Kewell.  Loved the CB pairing.

The practice of comparing different countries and so on for friendly games is invalid. I do seem to recall a game I attended whilst working in the UK in 2002/03 whilst Wembley was being renovated, England vs Australia at Upton Park. It got around 28-30,000. Does that make London a bad attendee of friendlies because 28-30,000 from a city of 8-9 million attended?

One would think not.

Er but Upton Park only takes about 34,000 does it not? Are you sure that was a full international? I don't recall England playing any games at Upton Park (although you could well be right as I recall them playing at Sunderland etc during that time).

25,000 from a city of 4.2 million is rather sparse...and the SFS is much easier to get to than North Harbour from the respective city centres. Fact.

So i guess that makes Villarreal the most fanatical football city in the world because they only have a population of 50,000 yet get 23,000 along to most Villarreal home games.

Three for me, and two for them.

I was on the strechers for this match. Was on the side where Australia scored their goal and they ran straight past me to celebrate. Was a pretty good experiance.
