Can't anyone head those beach balls downwards?

Anyone notice how the balls skids across the pitch a bit before rolling during a pass?

Good first half, both teams attacking. I think each team sees the other as their most likely opportunity to grab three points in Group A. Mexico should be up, but South Africa is countering well.

It appears that the keepers have nothing to worry about with this ball, because the strikers have trouble getting it on target!

Capello will be kicking himself that he didn't pick Bent!

Yeah, I have. I don't think that's the ball, it might be the pitch.

I'm very quickly going to tire of endless slow motion replays of grimacing coaches and players waving admonishing fingers at linesmen.

Ever kicked a beach ball before on a carpet? It does the same because the ball is smooth and light. . . . and I think thats what happen in that second free kick goal by Solvenia against us the other week.AllWhitebelievr2010-06-12 03:05:22

But I heart that Nike ad on tele.

Hoping for a South Africa win here. But think it will be a 0-0 draw. Which would be disappointing.

True, but that is the least if my angsts. Number one is those bastard horns. Hate is no longer a stronger enough word.

Maybe you should just not bother watching the rest of the tournament then.

Three for me, and two for them.

True, you might well be right. Should lead to more goals. Should.

Are you going to complain about it in every match thread for the whole World Cup? Or are you going to man up, deal with it, and enjoy a month long football party?

Three for me, and two for them.

No spin on that ball for that goal. Kick it flat and the light ball does the work for you.

But it is true . . . it does not detract from a great goal however.
