Spain will be seeing this as a must win, even a draw may not suffice. A draw will be enough for Chile, but a loss could see them fail to reach the round of 16 even though theyre currently on top.

Even if the Swiss have a win over Honduras, Spain could still fall short of the last 16 even if they win as well. Spain will be wanting to score at least 2 or 3 goals and hoping for a clean sheet.

Absolute gold from David Villa on 25mins, keeper came out towards sideline to clear a 50/50 but sent it straight towards Villa, who curled it first touch from 30 odd yards into an open net.

1-0 Spain

Then takes a free kick on 27min mark and hits it about 30 odd yards over  the net...

Chile claw one back, 2-1

Spain win 2-1. Swiss failed to win so both Spain and Chile progress.

Shades of West Germany v Austria the way these two teams blatantly ran down the clock in the last 15 minutes.

Sorry Spain but if you are going to dive like Torres did then you are no better than Italy and deserve to go lose the next game. That was terrible refereeing and even worse by Torres, disgusting.

I didn't think it was that bad? His heels got clipped so he went down? Not so sure why he went down for so long, but contact at that speed from behind would knock you down. 

Made it look worse by the way he stayed down, but he was clipped from behind, at a time when he was heading into a very dangerous area. Estrada didn't do it on purpose, but a case could be made for a 'professional' foul and a yellow card.

Speaking of Torres, he's been absolutely woeful so far, wonder if he'll get dropped for the Portugal game.

I think that's very harsh - sure the last 15 minutes were excruciatingly boring, but certainly there was no collusion here aiming to send a third team home. The teams simply understood that as the things stood, there was no need for either side to go all guns blazing for the last 15 when they both have important games coming up.

The Swiss had it all in their hands, and weren't good enough to make use of that opportunity. Can't blame Spain and Chile for that.

Spain need to cut out the rubbish hollywood dives

Certainly a dive, twists his whole body around to emphasize it to the ref.  He's a git.  Plays like that make me dislike Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian football.  Horrible stuff.

The Chilean players knee clips Torre's foot so it hits his other. He goes down and sells it too much. But from his point of view he's running and he gets taken down from behind.

Ref, who had been crap the whole match, made a bad decision.
