Hey all,
Hope you don't mind me using this thread as a blatant plug for my recently established footy blog site.
I'm a student at VicUni in Wellington and attend every Phoenix home game when I'm in the city. Having grown up in england with a season ticket at Everton I am very much obsessed with the beautiful game!
My blog is something I've set up to indulge my passions for football and writing and also give me some sort of practice or experience at what I would love to make a career of - sports, well, football, journalism, which, with the growing popularity of football in NZ (thanks largely to the Phoenix and of course the wonderful Yellow Fever) I reckon could soon be a growing field.
So anyway, I intend to blog daily on aspects of world football in general, and I also have dedicated pages for my two clubs, Everton and the Phoenix, on which I write in-depth discussions about issues and talking points specifically affecting each club, as well as match reports for all the games I catch live.
I cannot hope to compete with YF on being the phoenix authority and wouldn;t dream of trying, but football is all about opinion so if you fancy checking out someone elses, please do drop over to my site and have a read, and most importantly, let me know what you think!
It's in the 'getting going' stages at the moment but there's a few articles up and more coming daily so keep checking back!
