Anyone know what the script is for bars being open at weird times?

I see the Backbencher is open for all 6:30am games Mon-Fri, but what about early weekend games?

For example, I quite fancy watching England v USA this Sunday morning in a pub, but not sure if anywhere is open?

Four Kings doesn't even have a single thing on it's website (the worst thing about this bar!).

I saw the other week in Establishment, they were advertising "every game live". Upstairs on a big screen.

I've been told that The Temoperance Bar - soon to be renamed as Estadio is going to broadcast all games and do breakfasts for the 6.30 games. I understand its been taken over by the Southern Cross management. Apparently the Brazilian fans mare setting it up as their base - maybe others are as well - I don't know for sure. The Dutch are at St Johns bar I think.

I have also heard this about Temperance. Being re-themed as a Latin thing apparently.

Probably not worth starting a whole new thread for this, and this seems as good a place as any.

We passed the 24 HOURS TO KICKOFF point 20 minutes ago.

More info on the new Venue Estadio - full broadcasts of all games plus food etc. Seem to be making a big effort. Its being pushed hard in the Latin/South American community. This page just gone up this morning on Facebook. Hopefully this will be good for growing the football fan base. Also hope the Phoenix gets some promo down to some of these venues over the next month or so.

Kings sounded like the obvious option but Estadio could be a goer especially for the Brazil games. Is Estadio upstairs?

Apparently the All Whites have 27 official supporters bars all around the country

Shooters Nelson? You will NOT "experience the stadium atmosphere" here. Over summer we had to ask the bartender to turn off Rihanna and put on the commentary for the Nix! The only thing football related about that place is the bald bouncer is RGK for Nelson Suburbs.

"Celebrate the wins and defeats of teams from all over the globe. Watch the next Maradona Argentinas Lionel Messi, recently awarded FIFA 2009 Footballer of the Year, or follow the samba football of Brazil and maybe even see the English score a goal or two"
