Mate of mine in England found himself a good money maker today, $2.87 for under 9 goals in todays games with one place, $1.84 for more than 7 goals today with another place. Profit either way, and very large one if it hits the 7 or 8 goal mark.

I tried to do a multi on the TAB site and it came back with an error saying they were 'outcome related', i was trying to multi the top goal scorer for Spain in their Grp, with the top goal scorer for Argentina in their Grp with the English as Grp winners, with Brazil as group winners and Dutch as Grp winners.
I can't see any of that is outcome related. I spoke to a guy at the TAB who didn't seem to really know what he was talking about, and told i could put some on the top tryscorer. I let him babble on and then said they score goals in football not tries. Seemed to know little about football.
I do very little sports betting, so i certainly don't know the ins and outs of it...

thats not a waste of time, you must've had some exciting moments along the way!
I put four bets on one night of play earlier in the group stages and lost them all. Didnt like that it changed my neutral perspective during the games and made me frustrated so i didnt place any more...
my neutral love for the game has been much enhanced by Euan McCabe's book World Cup Baby, oh how i loved this tournament. Watched the nz and netherlands games as a true fan, then watched every other game as an appreciative neutral and loved it just as much...!

well I'm only down $20 which is good money spent for the excitement betting made to some of the more boring games lol. i'mn quite surprised tho that i'm doing way btter with the FIFA predictor as somehow finished in the early 50,000's out of 495,000 players as i was crap at working it out to start with

Took my 20 up to 100 after picking a 1-1 draw with Slovakia.
Then put 30 on a HT/FT double with Draw/Spain in the final. Shame it didn't come through as it was paying close to $5.

Was there a pay out on each of the 4 players for top goal scorer? Or did only 1 player get a return? (I think Muller with most assists) @ the NZ TAB
