haha yer its pretyy intense ae. When B.B.B come to play hajduk there like convoys of cars get ambushed lol. So they now fly in and get a car with license plates from split so they look like they are part of town.Otherwise they get robbed and beaten up.Theres been soo much violence but they used to be allies when it was yugoslavia and B.B.B and TORCIDA used to fight against Red Star Belgrade.Even when only one of Hajduk or Dinamo were playing.

Yeah, my cousin's BBB and he never takes his car when going to Split. They take the train which is cheaper than flying and provides plenty of drinking time before the game.

The police used to wait for BBB to turn up at train/bus stations and escort them to the stadium and back but don't know if they still do that.

Partizan v Dinamo

Another quick story - in 2003 Dinamo and Partizan played against each other in a friendly pre-season tournament somewhere in Switzerland. When Dinamo went 2-0 up, some Partizan supporters invaded the pitch, and Dinamo supporters also went down to meet them while the players and officials scrambled for cover. The fighting also spilled out of the stadium into town, and a whole bunch of people got arrested.
And all over a meaningless pre-season game. Although I suppose no game between Croat and Serbian clubs is meaningless

from personal point of view Dundee United v Dundee - closest Derby ever - the teams are on the same street!!

biggest would probably have to be Rangers v Celtic although having seen Fenercbache v Galatasaray in Turkey it wasn't far off

Best Derby game I've ever seen thouigh was Hearts v Hibs on New Years Day a couple of years ago (Before the Romanov days). Hibs went 2-0 up and Hearts pulled it back to 2-2, it looked as if it was crusing to a draw which both teams deserved, then in the 89th minute Hibs scored to make it 3-2, the fans all start singing Happy New Year at the Hearts fans, from the kick off Hearts lose the ball and the player that lost the ball kicks a Hibee and give a way a free kick, a empty half bottle of Whisky is thrown on to the pitch (well it is Scotland no one would throw a bottle with anything in it!) the ref takes the bottle away and Hibs take the free kick just inside the half way line a long ball to the far corner doesn't quite make it and Hearts defender Steven Pressley picks it up believing its a goal kick. Cue the linesman waving his flag furiously and Hibs get a penalty and score 4-2

From the kickoff, Hearts do a very nice set of 1-2's and score to make it 3-4, only a half hearted cheer from the Jambos, half of whom are leaving the ground, Hibs fans still singing "Happy New Year", the Hearts players grab the ball and run back to the half way line , Hibs kick off lose the ball and Hearts front 2 do an almost identical move of 1-2's and get an equaliser

Final scire 4-4 -4 goasl in 4 minutes one of the most amazing finishes to a game I have ever seen

I know most Man U fans don't live anywhere near Manchester but it's a bit of a stretch to call Arsenal v Man U a derby isn't it

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Arsenal / Man U is NOT a derby.

Derby means a match between local rivals.
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

It would have to be Hutt Valley vs Mana in the old Caltex cup. They where the days.

Those were the days indeed my friend! I remember being on the receiving end of a whooping from guys like Ash Hanrahan, Jon Lucas, Darren Cudby, Jay Schrivers.......but alas......when it came to the actual national tournaments......we always came out in front of Hutt Valley!!

Go Mana!
