Who will you be supporting if New Zealand gets knocked out?

Also do you support Aussie or no?

Yes.

N.B. NZ will never get knocked out.

Want Spain to win it, would like to see Africans do well too.

Detest Australia, will never support them (unless when playing India in cricket).

Hope England fail miserably (again).

Mmmm . . . hard one.

I like England to pass the quarter finals, but I have to like Australians and the other AFC teams have a real go at the KO stage to make their Confederation index stronger, it makes us look better in OFC because we are linked with them by the 5th AFC playoffs.

I prefer an even playing field with the UEFA teams and the CONMEBOL teams failing and the African and AFC teams doing better. It's time for a change in the football landscape.

I would want a team to win that hasn't won before, so would support USA, Australia or an African Country.

Question do you think if Australia won, would that increase interest in the sport here?

Angle-land, Sth Korea, Brasil

Edit: No (but not anti them)

Edit 2: re O6 above. No. Still too small here despite the profile. E.g. if they did well at Hockey it wouldn't influence our development.Junior822010-05-21 15:40:12

Don't worry about that, they won't win it.

I'm willing to bet they'll be departing the tournament at the same stage as us.

Second team?

Three for me, and two for them.

Italy or Spain

Australia vs England would cause me emotional stress.  Twenty-Two broken legs and a nil-all draw the best result.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Mental note to self, learn 'I'm not Serb' in Croatian by Sunday.

Sorry EG.  I'll explain why tomorrow or Sunday.

I hate Spain.  Couldn't bear it if they won.  Would be cool seeing a team who've never won it lift the trophy in July as long as it isn't Spain.  That would be horrific.

I don't mind Spain, as long as Cesc stays.

Cesc is a shining light in the evil darkness that is the Spanish national football team.

England

have had a soft spot for Holland since '74

usually end up enjoying an African side's run

then there's the surprise element

E.g. Belgium '82 or Turkey 2002 (iirc)

Spain, for sure. Would also love to see Argentina lift it, if not just for Diego's reaction (although I like many of their players).

And no. I won't be supporting the Aussies. Sorry...

New Zealand, and then Australia, because they are kind enough to give us a team.

NZ then Aussie, I like supporting the under dog. Yet I feel Australia could actually do very well.
