Holy fudge $NZD4M with the add ons. That's a shark load of cash for a club like the Nix. Take that now (bird in the hand & all that), or see if his stocks rise even further after the Olympics.

Paulsen's contract doesn't expiry until 2026/27, so plenty of time. But $NZD4M finances alot at a football club, and there is always the small risks of a bad injury or big form drop off next ALM season. Also importantly what's now the best outcome for AP himself.

It had to be Bournemouth as the leading contender didn't it! Morrison & Foley to nut it all out over a few wines in Martinborough??

I'd say a loan deal to Hibernian would be more likely than Auckland FC. Hibs main keeper this season, Scottish legend David Marshall is 39, and his current club contract expires in July. He maybe done.
