His biggest problem would be a season on the bench could cost him a WC spot if Nik max oli and Michael are all starting and doing ok

Not a chance in hell they'll ever even consider dropping Paulsen
Why not? If you have players playing week in week out and doing well why shouldn’t they be selected for a guy who’s warming the bench? I think for this upcoming window he is safe and i’m still expecting Smith to get selected, but after that game time and form start to come into it in my opinion 

A season training day in day out with an EPL club, sprinkled with say appearances for the U21s is of higher value than a season in goal in the ALM. Each day at the Cherries he would be challenged at a level way above, his prior time in the ALM.

As MM says madness to think he's not clearly one of the top 2 AW keepers. The real battle is for the 3rd keeper spot.
