Niche Cache. Comments from the Genk game. Looking good for AP to be the starter for Motherwell this season.
Might need the Steelmen to sign another Kiwi, to keep him company with Eli gone. I guess he has JGR joining from Auckland.

Worth mentioning that Aston Oxborough left to join Dunfermline Athletic for an undisclosed fee on the same day so it’s now only Paulsen and Matty Connelly on the books as first team keepers. Connolly played the second half against Genk. That bloke is 23yo and has only made one Premiership appearance for the Steelmen (most of his senior starts coming in lower-league loans). The coast is clear for an AP resurgence.
Lots of change for the ‘Well... coach Jens Berthel Askou has left for Toulouse in France while Elliot Watt (Samsunspor), goalkeeper Calum Ward (QPR), and centre-back Stephen Welsh (Swansea via Celtic) have also departed having been regulars last time. Transfer window ain’t shut yet but they’ll need a whole new spine with Alex Paulsen, plus another ex-AFC lad in Jake Girdwood-Reich, tasked with filling some of those boots.
That task begins with the ECL second qualifying round games against HB of the Faroe Islands. Home and away across the next two Friday mornings NZ time. Advance through that and the draw has dished the up either HJK (Finland) or Coleraine (Northern Ireland) in the third round.
