He'll be lucky to make an appearance unless one of the other CBs are injured or sent off. Perhaps if we're winning late on Ricki will bring him on to hold of Bahrain in the second leg.

Could be a cheap replacement for McKain if he's not playing in the MLS - gets to work with Ricki more closely too.

Pretty cool for him being at the same club as Henry.

Maybe Gavin Wilkinson will pick him up for the Timber's in their supplementary draft for the next MLS season.

New York v Chicago on ESPN Monday 4.30pm (delayed)
Will see Rafa Marquez's debut (just signed from Barcelona). NY now the glamour side in MLS.
At least Boyens is training with great players such as fellow defender Marquez which might help lift his game, with Thierry Henry and Juan-Pablo Angel also at the club.
Anyway, be interesting to see if Boyens makes the bench on Monday.
NY second in Eastern Conf. 10 points behind Duncan Oughton's Columbus. So at least the MLS Kiwis are at the top two clubs (and Oughton is still getting occassional game time such as today in the televised game on ESPN).

Boyens hasn t appeared on the substitute bench since May and still the same tonight against chicago fire. Henry got injured and Marquez played a good 60 minutes in midfield

Not featuring in the 2-1 loss to Philadelphia. Fred scored for Philly though.
