Anybody who knows that player? Actually he played 77 games with the timbers between 2007 and last summer where he got a severe injury. He has never been called up to nz national team: would it be a good addition to the squad after the WC specially with Portland joining the MLS in 2011?

Keel and Mamadou Danso return in the middle of the defense, where veteran Cameron Knowles is expected to miss at least half of this season as he continues to mend a broken leg suffered late last season.

ex-North Shore of Auckland.  Carmel college maybe ?

Came out of Akron, was on an MLS sides books but never got any game time so went to the Timbers.  He was definitely being followed on here prior to his injury problems.

Ok, specially with the Portland Timbers coached by a Kiwi (Gavin Wilkinson) I think he has a chance to play the end of this season and even play in the MLS with Portland next season. At that time he would have more chances to join the AWs

has shown plenty of potentialin the past, just not at the times when it would earn him the White Shirt.

Does anyone know why the Portland Timbers website has him listed as "Inactive".  Is he injured or something or is Gavin giving him the flick?

As an aside, I reckon that if he's fit Ricki should call him up for the next AW squad to give him a run/look over.  I'm sure he's at least as good as Mulli, Clapham, Barron etc.

Former MLS forward and assistant coach John Spencer was named the first head coach of the MLS-era Timbers on August 10, 2010. It was also announced that Gavin Wilkinson, head coach of the USL-1/USSF D-2 Timbers, will stay on as the general manager/technical director of the MLS side

Hopefully gavin will keep cameron knowles on the roster for the mls as i don't think he would be back from injury this season..
