Mansfield Town have just messed him around. Not much for his development there from what we can see.

Pity they left it so late to release him tbh. He could have been back at Argyle and putting himself in front of the new gaffa.

Too late to get another loan now also.

Hopefully the new manager is a better fit and Ben gets some chances.

He can't be loaned elsewhere. Already played for 2 clubs this season (Plymouth & Mansfield).

He got some reasonable chances with MT start of the season, and Gregory has had a few injuries. Waineo obviously just didn't do enough there.

You suspect Plymouth will let him go in June, even if they are relegated to L1. If so hopefully he can find a club where he becomes a starter. Might be L2 or even National League for a season.

Feel him, his agent and other confidants like Chris Wood, Bazeley, David Ball or whoever - need to come up with a plan that gives him a good shot to be a L1/Championship regular in 2-3 years. These leagues are full of guys grinding out good solid careers from their mid 20s into early/mid 30s. Look at Mansfield. Their strikeforce now aged 27, 35, 35 & 36.

Waine is only 23. Still plenty of time, and maybe dropping down a few divisions, and hopefully getting a 20 goal season should be the aim.
