Wonder what the record for loan moves is. Up to number 7 now.

I think by 30 he'll probably pass the record by about 10 loans

Came on at 65 min mark today, in a 1 all draw, still 7th

From the bench around 70 min mark. Ipswich lost 4 - 1. Not doing their or his cause any good

started in win over Watford playing 70 odd minutes. Good for Chris.

I was at the West Ham vs Sunderland game this evening and watching Connor Wickham made me think of what Woodsy could be. They both seem to be guys who were in men's bodies (oo-er) when they were still in their mid-teens, but now find as young players in their early 20's that their physicality isn't as effective as they used to be. Now Wickham is a player who went to Sunderland for about £8m so I am not expecting Woods' career to mirror his, but Wickham seems to have developed as a player, playing (not very well) tonight in the hole off the striker. He is becoming more than the big lump up top. Every time I see Woods play he seems very static, seemingly happy to continue to play the way he always has despite a diminishing return of effectiveness.

I reckon (like Wickham) he just needs a decent run of games. He hasn't had that for ages. He has pretty much always scored goals when playing regulalry

A run towards the end in their 1 all draw today, not sure how he played, he hasnt made the difference yet.

They are one off playoffs.

Played the full 90 in a 2-1 loss to Huddersfield this morning - on a pretty shark run but still in touch with playoff spots

I'll begrudgingly say that Daryl Murphy is a good striker at Championship level. A poor mans Grant Holt if you will.

Wood is going to be his backup. My suspicion is that Leicester is looking to offload Wood and Ipswich will possibly pick him up on a free at the end of the season.

Wasn't getting played.

Interesting move by Leicester. Thought they were looking to off-load him.

he isn't good enough to play at Ipswich but might be good enough for Leicester in the Championship next year???

Suppose Nugent can't go on forever...

Number 39 on the bench! A win or a point here and a goal from Chris featuring in that would be fantastic

Looking more and more likely they'll stay up

On the bench against Chelsea today

Doubt he will get on, LCFC have made 2 subs by halftime, and up 1 nil

Possibly the first Kiwi to sit in the Stamford Bridge dugout even if he didn't get on the pitch.

Edit: Whoops - forgot about Nellie.

the game was in Leicester, so there was no chance of him getting on if he was in the dug-out at Stamford Bridge.

These are the silly mistakes he has to cut out if he really wants to make it at the top.

He was on the bench last night, and at the right venue, progress.

Team won 3 nil, hope they can stay up

Not on the bench today, Leicester continued winning

hasn't taken to twitter to celebrate staying up despite his team pulling off the greatest Houdini in premier league history - and sounded pissed he was pulled back from Ipswich before their semi-finals

a tenner on Chris leaving for the championship at a moderate price

Poyet at Sunderland must also be up their. Both bottom at Christmas time.

I think you are right in reading the tea leaves. Think Wood is bound to be at another Championship club next season.

Rumours about a move to AFC Bournemouth in the UK press.

Also Wolves on standby to make a bid for Wood if they lose Dicko or Sacko this summer to bigger clubs.

English based All Whites fan! Would love to watch an All White game one day.

Bournemouth would be a good move, would get games in the Premiership you'd think.

Bournemouth just signed a new striker - Joshua King - so that might mean Wood will have to look elsewhere

There is/was a kiwi U17/U21 academy coach at Stamford Bridge in 08/09, may still be there (used to be a drinking buddy through a friend here in London). So Nellie and Reid aren't the only ones

King is more a winger playing in a front three like say Hazard as opposed to an out n out striker/target man - depends what style Howe will play. Think Wolves is more likely tbh
