just noticed some chris wood memorabilia on trade me, the auction was for a signed wood shirt a pair of boots also signed and a couple of signed programmes

Chris had a hand in all of the goals and was unlucky not to score himself.

For a out and out striker he does create a few goals as well 27 career assists plus a few for the NT no doubt

Seems like Wood's been injured . A possibility to be back for the next game.

Leeds are signing Kyle Lafferty from Norwich. This might stymie opportunities for Wood as Lafferty wants to get game time before the Euro's.

So I watch the only live Championship game for ages featuring Leeds on Sky on Sunday morning - and Chris Wood doesn't play due to a hamstring injury.

Leeds were pretty crap and never looked like scoring in the 2-0 away loss to Wednesday.

But Bullard is a 37 year-old retired player and isn't very fit.

You'd have to fancy your chances wouldn't you? even some of those crosses were piss poor.

Read a bit of a few fan forums- they were giving him a bit of grief about that video, but there were a fair number of opinions that he was one of their best players, contributed a lot off the ball with assists and link play and that he had actually (at that point) scored as many as other forwards in the league who were supposed to be having barn-storming seasons.

Sounds like our perpetual arguments about Tim Brown and the like

They seem kinda resigned to the fact as a mid to low table championship team, that if they actually get good players they'll get snapped up. IE Byram=> West Ham

Wood starts verus Brentford (1-1 draw) but is subbed after only 19 minutes due to tight hamstring.

Our top players really are having a bad run of injuries:

Wood's comeback was brief and apparently he has now injured "a different muscle in the hamstring" and is out for another week or two. 

Ryan Thomas is out for six weeks after knee surgery.

Winston Reid injured his hamstring again in the Cup win over Liverpool and will be out for another month.

Steve Evans: “He was out with his hamstring for five or six games after Christmas and then we got him back in good shape. It’s now a different muscle in the hamstring that has got a little strain. The prognosis is a couple of weeks from now. It could be a little more but that’s really down to the healing of the body.”

They're all just getting their excuses ready for missing the OFC Nations Cup...

Chris resumed full training this week but was judged not fit enough for the squad in the mid-week 2-0 away win vs. Cardiff.

Evans says he'll be in the squad for this weekend's Blackburn game.

Full 90 in a 2 -1 loss to Rotherham. Disappointing for him and the team, they are slipping back

Saving up his goals for the Nations' Cup

Good poachers effort. Most of the highlights are of Wood making runs and throwing up his arms at not recieving the ball.

And a penalty for QPR to even after all that dominance. grrr.

Think Wood could actually do really well with Doyle,Roux and Wee Mac sending the ball through to him, if he keeps that energy up

and Kosta and Marco- dunno why I didn't think of them first! Pity Thomas is out at the moment. 

Weemac shouldn't start for NZ based on current form.

I don't think Weemac has been that bad. At least he is playing every week unlike many of our players

Wee Mac has had a ton of shot assists this season (46) but only 5 actual assists if we had a clinical finisher like Berisha or Farnolli he would have a bucket load of assists. But yeah I wouldn't be starting him in a full strength side certainly bring him of the bench though.

He plays a different role for Hudson - who else is going sit and link defence and attack
