Think much the same - can't see him staying at West Brom for the Premiership - may do him good to play a season in League 1 or the Championship.

From a Bristol newspaper today...

"Wood remains Trollope's number one target before he completes his transfer business for the summer but he is likely to have to wait until closer to the end of the transfer window before finding out whether the player will be available on loan."

Bristol Rovers in League 1 were trying to get Wood on loan for quite a while last season but WBA wouldnt release him bc needed the cover. I imagine there will be a few suitors if he available on loan

ï¿½As for Chris, weve had a lot of requests for him but with our situation hes not going anywhere just yet.

They obviously haven't done too much research on him. They think he's 19.

Not in the side for todays game. Bench or starting. Hardly surprising.

Got my hopes up this morning when they were showing shots of the players arriving at the ground and he was one of the west brom players that he might be in the squad for the game, but no...

best for all involved for him to find some game time somewhere else, at least untill january and then reassess where hes at as far as getting in the west brom team.

WBA are rumoured to be in the hunt for Ipswich captain John Walters and talking about chucking a striker in to make the deal.  Just a thought.

If West Brom start getting flogged regularly will that help his chances at all?

I'm optimistic that he might get chances. Their top goalscorers last season were midfielders, indicating that their strikers haven't been all that prolific. Won't be an easy season for them so you would expect them to try different players along the way when they are struggling for goals.

I'd be happy if he goes out on a loan deal though.

Better for Chris Wood to play in a top Championship side with some decent game time, than WBA getting hammered every week???

"West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed the club have agreed terms with Lokomotiv Moscow forward Peter Odemwingie."Press Association

Chris Wood will surely be loaned out now.

I wouldn't. He can score against anyone else but leave The Os alone.

I see West Brom have signed Fortune, which will make it even more difficult for Wood to get gametime.

Sounds like an ok cameo- great for him to get on the park. It is easy to forget how amazing it is that he is getting time in the Premier League, and is only 18.

From the WBA match report
http://www.wba.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10366~52757,00.html

"Seconds later, substitute Chris Wood chased down what seemed like a lost cause and played the ball back to Tchoyi, who skipped inside and drilled a low shot a shade past the near post and into the side-netting.

To rub salt into Albion's wounds, Morrison was harshly sent-off four minutes from time for a mistimed challenge on Torres.

Despite being down to tern men, Albion continued to put the Reds' goal under pressure but they just could not breach the hosts' well-drilled rearguard."
