Provided the assist for the goal,

17: GOAL! They took the lead after 17 minutes when Gary Dicker brilliantly dispossessed Will Buckley, and fed the ball into Wood on the edge of the area. The big Kiwi chested the ball into the path of Barnes, and the striker's powerful drive squirmed out of Rene Gilmartin's grasp and into the back of the net.

Provided another assist, had a few good chances himself and got replaced at the 70th minute, is replacement Noone getting a goal in a 4 - 2 win

Hopefully whoever the new manager is rates Wood as highly as Di Matteo seemed to.

Can't understand why they sacked him - he got them auto promotion only last season.

Apparently it was to "secure safety" as they are something like 13 losses in last 18 games.

Nothing secures safety like sacking the manager.

Can't argue with that.

the goal was pretty scrappy, but it is great to see him scoring.

Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite

Very cool. Why can't we build something like that in NZ.

Chris Wood places the penalty kick with his right foot to the lower left corner and scores!! The goalkeeper guessed correctly but could not stop the shot.

Was reading the B&H Albion boards http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?196404-Brighton-and-Hove-Albion-End-of-season-player-ratings&highlight=wood

And came across these

Bring back Bryan wade!! wrote:
Wood - 7.5 out of 10. Has done well for us on loan, notching half a dozen goals. Again a player who blows hot and cold. Massive potential though and Gus rates him. Expect a move in the summer if we get promoted
prawnsarnies wrote:
I would agree with all bar 1 of your ratings, I would give Wood 8.5, he started very slow, but has come on leaps and bounds with regular games and fits into whichever system Gus uses.
I'd give wood 8/10 started slowly but has come on leaps and seams to know his game. But still with bags of potential.

Seems Wood did pretty well this season.
