Could also play in U-20 World Cup along with Cameron, Lewis, Woud, etc.
Then he could probably go elsewhere (overseas) after U-20 World Cup and Confeds Cup? (If he makes it of course)
Don't watch Roar play though, but if he is making first team appearances he must be pretty okay for a young 17 year old.

17 is young for Dane and pro contract and age grade as mentioned.
Be interesting to watch the manoeuvres on this one. A big decision for the families future footy.
I guess key difference is if they play fir au there will be much more competetion and they may get 3 or 4 caps if they arent wirld veaters or moving overseas yet at the same standard they will most likely play a lot more for all whites putting them on the international radar more. Dunno just something to think about
I'm not up on all the rules with residency, citizenship etc but does this now make the Ingham brothers overseas imports at their clubs?
They both also have Aussie citizenship, like Storm Roux/Shane Smeltz so all good

Roar football director Craig Moore met with Ingham on Wednesday, and said the club would provide the shattered 18-year-old with the support he needed.
“I don’t think it was good the way the situation was handled,” Moore said.
“We were never given any guidelines by the New Zealand Football Association about the level of fitness Dane was expected to be at.”

Given the bulk of his fitness work is done to the instructions and the schedule of his employer, the Roar...

If the clubs don't see it as their responsibility to make sure their players are fit then why do they employ S&C coaches, physios, doctors even?
Fitness is a very closely monitored thing in professional football and clubs structure their training over the course of the entire season with fitness in mind, including peaks and troughs in overall levels of fitness so that they are in peak shape at the times the coaching staff want them to be and a bit below that at others because that peak shape is not sustainable. Fitness isn't something you either have or you haven't got, it's something that evolves over time based on a bunch of variables. Players are expected to do what is asked of them on the pitch and in the gym (maybe a little extra, but closely monitored gym work) and then rest. It's been said that Michael Essien sleeps 16 hours a day.
Ingham will have taken the break(s) the Roar though suitable for their players and taken part in the pre-season training they thought suitable. However, Moore's statement signals that (at least in the future) the Roar are more than willing to do extra work and have a separate programme for players who have national team commitments.
Basically, clubs made it their responsibility a long time ago because they realised they'd have better football teams if they did.
