Made his debut for the first team and played the full 90 the other night in their 6-0 ACL win over Global FC.
He's Jai Ingham's brother so assume they both have the same mother (who was born in NZ).

What age and position is he?
His brother Jai has looked pretty good for Victory despite limited opportunities.
Wonder if either of them would be good enough for All Whites honours in the future?

Do they want to play for the All Whites? didn't Jai almost turn out for Samoa?
Primarily a forward, however was played at RB for Roar in the ACL match:
Aloisi: "But they all did well. Even Dane Ingham – he's not naturally a right back, he's learning that position."
He's been named in a Young Socceroos training camp. Definitely has stronger ties to Australia & Samoa but you never know right?
World Cup 2026? We're more certain to be there than Aus!
Just gave away a penalty letting City equalise to 2-2. To be fair there's been some shocking penalty calls (both given and not given) in this match.
Given that Jai is keen to play in white, I wonder if Dane has been spoken to as well by Hudson?
He just scored for Brisbane vs Perth...playing right back
Dane has become the 69th and youngest scorer for the Roar.
I sure there are examples all around the world, but have we ever had a scenario where two brothers play international football for different teams, one for us and one for Auzzie?
Boatengs of Germany and Ghana. Admittedly half brothers
I sure there are examples all around the world, but have we ever had a scenario where two brothers play international football for different teams, one for us and one for Auzzie?
There are a few examples of this around the world such as
Christian (Italy) & Max (Australia) Vieri
Paul (France), Florentin & Mathias (Guinea) Pogba
Tim (Australia, although he did play for Samoa 1st) and Chris (Samoa) Cahill
Joe (England) & Jerry (USA) Baker - what made these 2 more unique is that their parents were Scottish and they were both considered Scots
Brothers that have played for NZ include
George & Jock Anderson (1924-27)
Brian & Ron Armstrong (1971-83)
Charles & Bill Ives (1933-36)
Duncan & Iain Ormond (1972-80)
Frits & Klaas Poleman (1957-58)
Wynton & Shane Rufer (1979-89)
Gordon, Rodger & Vic Smith (1946-48) - these guys are Ryan Nelsen's great uncles
There are also a couple of players who played for both NZ & Australia
Ken Hough (1958) - also played cricket for both countries
Greg Brown (1986) - an english import who played for Napier and Miramar in the 80's, played for NZ against USSR XI in 1986, a game that was not considered a full international so was able to play for Australia when he moved over there
There hasn't yet been a case of brothers being split and one playing for us and one for Australia
Surley Hudson could have a talk to Jai to have a word with his younger brother.
Stop calling me Shirley!
Classic

Boatengs!
A recent one in the Xhaka brothers too - Switzerland and Albania
Apparently is in the process of getting his NZ passport and is likely to be called up for the matches vs Fiji
He also plays at Right Wing/right mid.
With Liam Graham injured it's good to have two options. Could mean no Fenton.

Decent catch if getting NZ passport.
He's only 17.
Could also play in U-20 World Cup along with Cameron, Lewis, Woud, etc.
Then he could probably go elsewhere (overseas) after U-20 World Cup and Confeds Cup? (If he makes it of course)
Don't watch Roar play though, but if he is making first team appearances he must be pretty okay for a young 17 year old.
How realistic is it that NZ will get the Ingham brothers?
Are they not on Socceroos radar?
The article on the news feed was interesting. Might spur Socceroos to make an offer to stymie us?
17 is young for Dane and pro contract and age grade as mentioned.
Be interesting to watch the manoeuvres on this one. A big decision for the families future footy.
I guess key difference is if they play fir au there will be much more competetion and they may get 3 or 4 caps if they arent wirld veaters or moving overseas yet at the same standard they will most likely play a lot more for all whites putting them on the international radar more. Dunno just something to think about
I'm not up on all the rules with residency, citizenship etc but does this now make the Ingham brothers overseas imports at their clubs?
They both also have Aussie citizenship, like Storm Roux/Shane Smeltz so all good

Ingham back with @brisbaneroar after being sent home from New Zealand camp for fitness reasons https://t.co/Q1PhZXhedx

Roar football director Craig Moore met with Ingham on Wednesday, and said the club would provide the shattered 18-year-old with the support he needed.
“I don’t think it was good the way the situation was handled,” Moore said.
“We were never given any guidelines by the New Zealand Football Association about the level of fitness Dane was expected to be at.”
why is it up to the Roar to get Ingham fit enough for the AWs? Personal responsibility surey?
why is it up to the Roar to get Ingham fit enough for the AWs? Personal responsibility surey?
Given the bulk of his fitness work is done to the instructions and the schedule of his employer, the Roar...
I dontbthinknits even up to them to get him fit for the Roar. Its his own responsibility......
If the clubs don't see it as their responsibility to make sure their players are fit then why do they employ S&C coaches, physios, doctors even?
Fitness is a very closely monitored thing in professional football and clubs structure their training over the course of the entire season with fitness in mind, including peaks and troughs in overall levels of fitness so that they are in peak shape at the times the coaching staff want them to be and a bit below that at others because that peak shape is not sustainable. Fitness isn't something you either have or you haven't got, it's something that evolves over time based on a bunch of variables. Players are expected to do what is asked of them on the pitch and in the gym (maybe a little extra, but closely monitored gym work) and then rest. It's been said that Michael Essien sleeps 16 hours a day.
Ingham will have taken the break(s) the Roar though suitable for their players and taken part in the pre-season training they thought suitable. However, Moore's statement signals that (at least in the future) the Roar are more than willing to do extra work and have a separate programme for players who have national team commitments.
Basically, clubs made it their responsibility a long time ago because they realised they'd have better football teams if they did.
this is a disgraceful way to treat a young player
it never would have happened during the 'recruitment' phase
there was no need to make the reason for his expulsion public
they didn't make it public. They NZF were asked by media. what did you want them to do, lie?
for the sake of the player, yes
are you aware that philippe coutinho has a back injury that was caused by mental fatigue?
and of he or NZF for caught out lying them what... have people really not thought this through?
