2 versionsI've said it before, but I don't think any of us can comment on the leadership qualities of any of these players. Just because you are playing in the Premier League doesn't make you a better leader than someone in the Championship.
Not only playing there but having a game as captain last week, against Man U ?? But then they lost one nil...
Yeah, he is obviously considered a very good leader at West Ham, but how does that mean that he is instantly a better leader than Smith? Until I see more of the two of them on the field together without Nelsen, I think it's impossible to compare the two without knowing them personally and seeing them around the other AWs in camp.
The captain will be selected not only what happens on the pitch, but what goes on off., so what you see on the pitch will mean zip.
Indeed, so my point about us not being able to say who will make a better captain stands, as we don't see the majority of that off field stuff.
do we want a captain who might be playing league one next year?
