Probably because we cut out the deadweight authors from Parky before kicking off FK.

If only we could find a sponsor to allow us to do it weekly instead of monthly (hint, hint).

Will try for new links/photos regularly. As you can imagine there aren't a huge number of photos of Rhodri Payne floating around on the interweb though.
Will get Stevie's link working for next time.
Link to archive editions is a good idea - I'll put it on the to do list.

Kiwi boys Caleb Rufer and the goal keeper Marinovac (or similar) had both made senior debuts now in Germany.
Not sure on the standard of team they are playing for or how good the opposition was.
Also i think it was againts an under 23 team, or for an u23 team which doesn't really make sense to me, so if some one can elaborate for me i'd be happy.
Regardless good to see, more kiwis giving it a good shot overseas.

not much footy for the AWs in the UK this weekend. 20 mins for Killen, but others either injured (Woods - ankle, Nelsen) or just watched from the rimu (Bright, Fallon, Old).

Duncan Oughton as sub in Crew's fifth straight win
Seems to have got injured after that, as Oughton hasn't appeared in any Crew squads since then and they've played heaps of games, including CONCACAF Champions League and US Open Cup.
On the other hand, good to see Simon Elliott make his first start since mid-July last weekend in San Jose's 2-1 loss to New England away (replaced an injured regular midfielder). Good for his sharpness and fitness to play an entire game before flying out to Jordan with the All Whites.

More news of another injured All White: Unfortunately, Chris James seems unlikely to play for NZ again this year after going under the surgeon's knife last week in Finland to treat a knee injury.
Estimated to be at least 4-5 weeks at best before he can resume training with Tampere United.
Apparently, he's been troubled by his knee for some time (no full movement, stiff and in pain).
Ricki H. would have known about that when selecting his squad.
See short news item on the Tampere United website 26th August (in translation):
