Massive away win for Harrogate who get up 3-1.
They stay last (24th) but only on GS from Barrow (23rd, who do have a game in hand).
Newport (22nd) only 1 point ahead. Bottom 2 teams relegated.
Highlights. Gray rushes out & is in no man's land for Grimsby's goal. But then comes up with a big crucial penalty save when it was 2-1.
Harrogate some nice goals.
He'll be quietly hoping now Sims is not starting the new Swedish league season in goal for GAIS, which kicks off Monday night.

Gray in goal for a 2-3 loss. Doesn't look like it was his best game, with a low 5.2 Soccerway rating.
Harrogate stay bottom (24th), but they are only 1 pt behind Newport (22nd) and safety.
Their clash this weekend at Newport, big relegation, winner takes all maybe, 6 pointer.
Highlights. Gray could have done a bit better for the first 2 goals - though not big errors. Then thrusts out a foot to conceded a penalty for the 3rd Rovers goal. Pen converted sneaking under his body. Presumably Baze will be watching.

Harrogate (north Yorkshire popn 90,000) is twin cities with Welly and even has a NZ Garden in town.
Simon Weaver, Harrogate coach: “It was big. It was a big moment for us and it could have been a turning point for Grimsby because their crowd are partisan. When the penalty award was given I was thinking that if we go in at 2-2, we will have to pick the players up from being two up. But it was a great response from Henry, I thought it was a superb save. He’s such an athletic lad, and fair play to him... He just got caught with the wind for Grimsby’s goal. He dithered a bit. It’s not easy in these conditions and he got caught under it and there was a bit of miscommunication. But, it is all about your reaction. Everybody on the pitch probably made a mistake, and that one was costly for him, but he redeemed himself with a fantastic save. He is an athletic goalkeeper and he has a great future ahead of him.”
That’s good to hear because there was a reversal of fortunes in the game after. Gray’s an excellent goalkeeper so he’s always going to make a few good saves in any match (supposing the shots are there to save)... but against Bristol Rovers his team twice coughed up leads on the way to a 3-2 defeat with the decisive goal coming from a 79th minute penalty that Gray himself gave away. Now, in Gray’s defence the penalty decision was seriously weak sauce. But that’s what happened. It’s not quite hero to villain but he wasn’t able to stay the hero. They would have climbed out of the relegation zone even with only a point there... nevertheless they’ve got four more games to make the magic happen.

Bugger. Harrogate lose 2-1. Gray in goal.
That likely consigns Harrogate to relegation, 4 pts from safety with only 3 matches left.
Hopefully Gray has done enough to interest another L1/L2 club for a loan deal next season.
And of course good chance Ipswich get promoted to the EPL. Gray is there until 2027.

Sounds like his participation in the u20 WC last season scuppered some loans opportunities. He seems to have done well for Harrogate, so would expect him to get loaned out to a higher level next season.

Late drama as Harrogate (24th, 36 pts) grab a 99th min winner for a 1-0 victory.
They stay last but only on GD from Barrow (23rd, 36 pts), as Newport (22nd, 37 pts) and Tranmere (21st, 37 pts) both lost.
Crawley (20th, 38 pts) also still in the relegation mix.
Two rounds left. Harrogate win both and they give themselves a chance to stay up.
Gray not in goal, and not on the bench. Harrogate gaffer made 7 changes from the last game, so something might have happened midweek to see such a cleanout from the previous match.

Harrogate (24th/last, 36 pts) travel to Walsall (12th).
Harrogate ideally want some points, but even if they lose could still stay up.
They need to overtake one of Newport (22nd, 37 pts) & Crawley (21st, 38 pts) with 2 matches left. Barrow are 23rd (also 36 pts)
In their final match Harrogate host Barnet. Gray (injured?) missed the last game which Harrogate won, so he may have played his last game for them.

Harrogate win 2-0. Sadly no Gray. I'm guessing he's injured?
Harrogate up to 23rd (2nd last, 39 pts). Crawley (22nd, 39 pts) currently edge them on GD.
Harrogate host Barnet (9th can mathematically still make the playoffs). Crawley host Salford who are chasing an automatic promotion spot.

Tranmere (20th, 40 pts) & Newport (21st, also 40 pts) are other teams Harrogate could overtake.
In fact odds are if Harrogate beat Barnet and they overtake at least one of those 3 teams immediately above them, and so are safe. A draw may even be enough
