Subbed off at half-time?

Yes missed that. Says injured. If they waited til HT can’t be serious??

But a bugger for Gray, as playing at this level definitely has him in WC contention

Harrogate (stay last) go on to lose 1-2, after equalising but then conceding a 2nd late in stoppage time.

The goal they scored today, was their first goal at home in L2, in 13-and-a-quarter-hours of football!

Hopefully Gray's injury not serious. Their gaffer post match in a 7 min chat didn't say anything about Gray.

Gray on the pine for Harrogate.

All a little bizarre.

After being subbed off at HT last week (injury), Gray gets subbed on at 31 mins (1-0) in this game. Injury to starting keeper Oxley.

Eventful week.

Harrogate lose 2-0.

Gray in goal yesterday as Harrogate lost 0-1 to Swindon.

Harrogate 5 points from safety. Still 16 games for Gray & co to avoid the drop.

Haven’t seen the game or the highlights - seems like he had a great game, with a fair few saves, until giving away a late clumsy pen for Swindon’s only goal.

Harrogate fans are absolutely livid at their ownership and manager for the situation they find themselves in - owner’s refusing to sack their severely underperforming gaffer as it seems he has personal ties to the owner

Harrogate with the 2-1 win. Brief highlights

Cambridge are 5th, so definitely an upset win.

Harrogate (24th) stay bottom on GD from Newport (2 games in hand).
Shrewsbury 22nd in the safe zone, are only 2 points further ahead.

Gray in goal.

Gray with a match high 8.0 Soccerway rating in a 1-1 draw.
Harrogate stay in the drop zone (23rd) but now just 4 pts off safety.

Brief 2 min highlights.

Gray probably should have come out of his box to try prevent Chesterfield's  (in the blue) goal.

But then has his two saves in the highlights the first a top diving effort.

Then a truly bizarre moment where a sideline Chesterfield player about to be subbed on, cops a yellow for kicking the ball away from a Harrogate player seeking to take a quick throw.

The Chesterfield coach seems to then change his mind re which sub he will bring on, and the sideline Chesterfield player cops a 2nd yellow for walking back to the subs bench?? Chesterfield down to 10 men!!

Should still have 11 on the pitch if someone who wasn't substituted on yet was red carded?

Valley FC til I die?

15 Feb 19:26
I thought it was the goal scorer for the other team who got red carded?

Harrogate lead 1-0. Gray in goal.

Edit - hugely important 1-0 road win for Harrogate.

Now 2 pts off safety, and is 3 teams ahead of them by 2 points, so a few options to overtake. Though they next play top of the table Bromley.

Gray has been here before, helping save a club from the drop.

Brief highlights. Harrogate in yellow.
Gray comes out to the edge of his box to block a shot.

Then in the 2nd half the woodwork saves him. Important road win.

Gray in goal for a 0-0 draw.

Highlights. Good effort by Harrogate against top of the table Bromley. Harrogate edge closer to getting out of the drop zone.

Niche Cache.

The draw against Bromley was arguably even more impressive (albeit nowhere near as crucial in the relegation battle) as they created the bulk of the chances, playing without fear against a team at the opposite end of the standings. Pity they couldn’t find a winner but things are happening for Harrogate, suddenly.
That’s four games undefeated, double their next best streak this season.

They hadn’t kept a clean sheet since October (23 games ago) and now they’ve kept two in a week. In nine appearances, Henry Gray has an 81.1% save percentage, conceding fewer goals per game than either of the other two keepers used by the club this term (and by a long margin too). He’s been great.

This little burst of form has allowed Harrogate Town to climb above Newport County. Barrow are the next team directly above them and since only two clubs get relegated from League Two that means that’s all they need to muster over the last quarter of the campaign to survive. That difference is now only one point. Crawley Town are also in range a further point beyond.
