Went to a Norwegian Premier league game a month or two ago it's a really quality league but I did read he's most likely going to be playing in the division below with the reserve team for the majority of his spell.

I assume it is only a short term contract as he wants to be free for the January transfer market as a fre agent.
Hopefully he gets picked up, is he over his injury problems.

I read on the NZFC site that he's in contention for a place in the Waitakere United line-up this weekend after receiving the necessary clearance?

Where is this guy playing? Seriously, signs for Sunderland (blown out of proportion I know) but then falls completely off the radar. At the time I didn't know too much about football but when I heard "signs with sunderland" I expected something to actually happen here, and for NZ to develop another decent centre back. Is he an option the phoenix could use for some defence cover? or is he capable of playing league 1?

Luis,I believe he is still at Waitakere.

From what I saw of him yesterday, I was surprised he didn't start. He has timing and composure on the ball. Hard to judge seriously when you only get piecemeal minutes but you don't go to Sunderland and Norway unless you have something about you. For a kids thats 22 I would think he could be a realistic defensive cover option for the Phoenix. He looked fit and moved freely so would think he is injury free. Time in the fulltime program would get him back up to speed and a good look at him. For 40-50k he'd be worth a sniff and not an expensive one. If he had the goods after a one year deal, then the relationship is there to look to extend. Mind you the young boy beside him Myers would be worth a look as an under 20 option.

Myers played most of the Phoenix pre-season last year.

(not to go too far off topic) I'd look hard at Myers again then.
