United Soccer Leagues has Jake in the Team of the Week for 3 shut out performances - well done!
tv commercial for them here
There's some more older history as well, but I can't remember it right now.
If some people's calculations are correct about NZ now being inside to top 50, now would be a great time to try his luck in Europe, although staying will hopefully see him play at MLS level.
Near future AW?
He's the best young keeper I've seen in NZ currently (and by young I mean younger than Mossy) - sorry Radioman, lastnomad, DKP22)

My bro is based in the US in the Pacific North West and is matey with Gavin Wilkinson. When in NZ late last year (Nov 14 - that was lucky!) he was on a spying mission to check out young Mr Gleeson and reported back positively, so really good to hear.
Augurs well. All the best.
Excellent job for jake gleeson who won USL Premier Development League with Portland Timbers U23 and hopefully he will earn a spot with Portland in the MLS next season as a 2nd or 3rd goalkeeper.
EK: With Cronin being signed, it seems like hes our starting goalkeeper for MLS. Is that true?
KK: I would put him at the top of our list for now, but I think the number one keeper job is entirely up for grabs. The team is intrigued with Adin Brown, and if he can regain his form and stay healthy, he might be in the mix. The status of U-23 goalkeeper Jake Gleeson is something else to consider, because hes probably the most talented keeper on the team right now but hes only 20 years old. There is also potential talent that will be available in the MLS expansion draft where they might find a reserve keeper from an existing MLS club. Regardless, its one of our more secure positions with the talent available.
