He played left back against Lithuania and was a turnstile. When he was with the Nix reserves he was more further forward.

It's dangerous to judge someone solely on a one game, when you are making your senior international debut, and apart from 2-3 training sessions basically your team mates are complete strangers.

Davila had a pretty shark A League debut, and he'd been training with his team mates daily for months.

From memory McGarry went alright for the U23s under Buckingham, verus a pretty handy Olyroos team over 2 games.

Plus the coaching setup at the 4th best team in the Eredivisie must be seeing something on a daily basis, to keep him in their match day squad - even if they have enlarged benches in the Dutch top flight.

But yeah he needs to be actually playing somewhere. Loan deal to one of the better Eerste Divisie (Dutch 2nd tier) sides??
