Time for Herdman to come to NZ - Canada is not working and with our visa restrictions he would be a decent chance to get good minutes.

On at 83 mins (1-0) in a 1-0 loss.
Not really happening for him this CPL season.

Hopefully he gets more game time

Yes his season at Cavalry was looking a fizzer so a good move for him hopefully.

Worked for Dyer last CPL season loan deal from Vancouver FC to Pacific, then to Ireland and now the la ching signing in Cambodia.

Note Vancouver FC is a CPL club, completely seperate to Vancouver Whitecaps (MLS club).

Jay H off at 70 mins (2-3) as Vancouver FC lose 2-3.

No Herdman as Vancouver FC trail 2-1 mid first half.
Presumably as part of the loan deal, Jay H can't play against his parent club - Cavalry.

Edit - plenty of goals as Cavalry win 5-4.

Come to Wellington Jay, the CPL doesn’t look like it’s working out for you

This is a good shout. Is a little different from what we have currently. Always looked technical with a decent work rate.

Both Olywhites come off the pine as Valour FC win 5-2.

Herdman on at 62 mins for Vancouver FC (1-4)
OVH on at 90 mins for Valour (4-2)

Canadian Championship, semi final, 2nd leg.
Potential Kiwi derby, but likely not.

Ottawa host Vancouver FC. Vancouver up 3-1 from the first leg (back in mid August).

However Herdman maybe cup tied to his parent club Cavalry.
And who knows what Monty Patterson is up to at Ottawa.

Patterson pops up on the bench for Ottawa.
No Herdman for Vancouver FC - suspicion is cup tied to Cavalry.

MLS's Vancouver Whitecaps beat CPL's Forge 4-0 (6-2 on agg), to be the first confirmed Canadian Championship finalist.

Monty P on at 79 mins (1-0), but he can't find the needed 2nd goal, as Ottawa only win 1-0.

So Vancouver FC prevail 3-2 on agg.

So it's Vancouver Whitecaps (MLS) verus Vancouver FC (CPL) Canadian Championship final. No guess required for the host city. Maybe Ryan Reynolds will drop in.

Canadian Championship final tomorrow, with huge underdogs Vancouver FC travelling to BC Place to try upset MLS outfit Vancouver Whitecaps.

Whitecaps 2nd in MLS Western Conference

Herdman vs Thomas Muller?

https://www.whitecapsfc.com/news/preview-caps-set-for-2025-telus-canadian-championship-final

A rumour going around that after his time with the Whitecaps finishes, Muller is going to sign for Morecambe who are bottom of the National League!

Still no Herdman for Vancouver FC.
Giuseppe Bovalina (ex Adelaide) on the bench for big favourites Vancover Whitecaps.

Whitecaps won 4-2.

Herdman, Patterson and lately OVH have all had very average 2025 seasons in the CPL.
That's after others like Bevan and Dyer going well there.
