Gets 61 mins in a big clash verus top of the table Orlando Pirates. Crowd 33,000 which is big for PSL.

Finishes 0-0.

Pirates are 5 points ahead of Sundowns who are 4th, but Sundowns have 3 games in hand.

The PSL has some shambolic scheduling with some teams having played 4 games more than others. TIA.

Brocks would have a crazy filled up passport or two by now.

Sundowns travel to Malabo the capital of Equatorial Guinea, to play Leones Vegetarianos (that team name is not made up) in the African Champions League tomorrow.

Looks like 39 hours travel time, via Ethiopia!

https://twitter.com/hashtag/sundowns?lang=en

Remember watching a Spanish movie set in colonial times in Equatorial Guinea. Then reading about the country later. Only Spanish speaking country in Africa?? Sounded a right unpleasant place with a nasty corrupt despot in charge, hoarding all the oil wealth and 90% of the popn otherwise living in poverty.

Hopefully Jeremy has got all his travel jabs.

Brocks scores Sundowns first goal as they beat the Vegetarian Lions, 2-0 in exotic West Africa, in the CAF Champions League.

Finding goal footage maybe problematic.

I see Kris Bright who had a short stint in South Africa, chipped in with a Twitter comment.

Shocking first shot... but a cracker finish.

He would surely have one of the better highlight reels going around!

I think poor footage is deceptive. First shot partially blocked by a defender.

Meanwhile 39 hrs flying time back in South Africa.

Emilano Tade bagged his 3rd PSL goal (9 Games) for Amazulu in a 2-1 win over Highlands Park.

Amazulu still bottom.

Gets 74 mins as Sundowns beat Brockie’s ex club Supersport 2-1 away.

Sizeable PSL crowd of 12,000.

Sundowns now 3rd on the table with 3 games in hand, but only 3 pts behind top of the table Orlando Pirates.

Supersport going pretty well in 6th.

For lack of anywhere else to note it, Tade scores a brace for AmaZulu midweek in a 3-0 win. 2nd goal a pen.

He’s now the leading goal scorer for AmaZulu this PSL season with 5.

More air miles for Brockie this weekend off to play a CCL game in Cairo. Opposition Al Ahli Bengazhi from Libya, which no doubt is not safe for pro footballers to visit right now.

Not sure where else to put this but someone else loving life in South Africa right now is Emiliano Tade. Scored 3 in his last 5 and won the league's Player of the Month award, and according to social media is adored by the fans.

Linked with a move to Orlando Pirates, one of the biggest clubs in Africa. Fantastic to see a Kiwi product do so well, even if he's not a Kiwi!

The Nelsonian gets 61 mins in a 1-0 win over Maritzburg.  Score 1-0 when subbed off.

Sundowns up to 3rd, 5 pts behind leaders Bidvest Wits, with 3 games in hand.

So looking pretty good to retain their title, if they can also manage the ardous travel demands of their African Champions League games.

Not required from the bench in a 2-1 win over Highlands Park.

Hopefully he hasn’t fallen out of favour again. No minutes last 2 games.

Sundowns lose 2-1 to relegation threatened Chippa United in PSL.

Luckily both teams above them Bidvest and Orlando Pirates drop points as well with draws.

Brockie stays on the bench for 3rd game in a row, so yes is out of favour again.

Big dent in Sundowns title ambitions as they lose 2-0 at home to AmaZulu.

Brockie introduced at HT when Sundowns were down a goal.

Tade subbed on for AmaZulu at 71 mins when they were already 2-0 up.

Interesting as some speculation that Sundowns were looking to sign Tade.

They still have 2 games in hand on Bidvest Wits, and remain 3 points behind.

They are almost consistently playing 2 games a week now, with PSL and CAF Champions League. Like Asia the travel distances in Africa are large. So won’t be easy.

Not in match day squad as Sundowns beat ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast) 3-1 in CAF Champions League.

However Tade comes off the bench to score the 3rd goal for Mamelodi!!

He must have been a last minute transfer from AmaZulu.

From what I can see Brockie is still at Sundowns, but Tade’s signing won’t be good news for him.

Brockie not in match day squad as Sundowns beat Black Leopards 3-0 in PSL.

Tade comes off the bench to get 5 mins at the end.

Sundowns still have 2 games in hand on Bidvest Wits, and remain 3 points behind.

Doesn't look good for Brocks. Almost seems that Tade has now taken his spot in the squad.

Mamelodi do have a lot of games coming up juggling PSL & CAF champions league, but it might need an injury or two for Brockie to get a look in now.

Sundowns blow an opportunity to go equal top of the PSL, drawing 1-1 at home to Polokwane City.

Now 2 pts behind Bidvest Wits, they still remain title favourites with 2 games in hand on Bidvest.

83 mins for Tade. Hasn’t he done well in South Africa.

Brockie not in the match day squad. Sadly the Nelsonian looks well on the outer now.

Bidvest and Sundowns play each other this weekend. More a must win for leaders Bidvest really.

10 man Sundowns draw 1-1 away to Bidvest Wits.

No doubt a tense game with both gunning for PSL title, with a Sundowns player shown straight red at 37 mins.

Tade unrequired from the bench, and Brockie remains on the outer completely.

Bidvest 2 pts ahead, but Sundowns have 2 games in hand.

How long does he have to go on his contract? He's on mega bucks IIRC so unlikely to look for a transfer if he's making lots and isn't even required to travel with the squad within Africa...

Sundowns 0 Bloem Celtic 0.

Sundowns lead PSL by 2 points, and now on same number of games (21) as teams immediately below them (Bidvest and Orlando Pirates).

Big game as Sundowns lose 2-1 at 3rd placed Cape Town City.

Sundowns drop to 2nd on GD from Orlando Pirates, with Cape Town just a point behind, and Bidvest another point back.

Both Mamelodi and Bidvest with games in hand. So it’s real tight now

Tade starts, gets 87 mins and is credited with an assist. No Brockie of course

Brockie remains on the outer.
