How common is it for MLS sides to buy a player though? I thought it was about the same as A-League - ie rare
Players signed on transfer fees are rare, but some teams will buy players if the fee are small enough. More teams are paying transfer fees for players, though most of them ends up being a 'designated player' (A League marquee players, each MLS teams are allowed 3 designated players)
