Boston Breakers are no more so not sure what that will mean for Rosie White. Hopefully she picks up a gig with another team.
http://equalizersoccer.com/2018/01/25/boston-break...
think its same model as the men's league, so she will continue to get paid while they try and find her a new club
Sweet hope that is the case so she isn't out of pocket, but hope she still gets picked up somewhere else quickly too
Good news for Rosie White who was selected by Chicago Red Stars in the dispersal draft.
Katie Rood's Juventus seem on course to win the Italian women's league.
Three points clear of closest rivals Brescia who they play next.
Not bad for a newly-formed club this season.
Katie Rood's career has blossomed this European season with her pro contract and call up to the Football Ferns.
Scored in the Italian Cup recently. Limited appearances in the league.
Good interview with Katie here on the Juventus You Tube channel (in English with Italian subtitles):
You know you're in a football hotbed when you're not a star player on the team and your first video interview for your club attracts 68 comments on You Tube in a matter of a couple of days....
Good profile and interview with Katie today on Stuff:
https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/nz-teams/10...
Four goals in eight appearances in all competitions.
She used to skip uni classes to watch Champions League games on Sky in NZ. Now she's there...
Perks of playing for Juventus Women include attending the men's team's Champions League games.
If Juve Women beat Brescia next weekend and win the league, then they qualify for the UEFA Women's Champions League.
Katie makes regular video blogs. Here's her one of Juve vs. Real Madrid in the Champs League the other week:

Former Canterbury United Pride striker and Football Fern Phillips has moved on from Welsh champions Cardiff Metro after playing for them in their UEFA Women's champions League qualifiers (knocked out by the Ukrainian champs).
Previous to that she played for the Serbian champions.
Joins her former Pride team mate Meikayla Moore in Germany.
Moore has tranferred to Duisburg in Frauen Bundesliga 1 from relegated Koln.
Phillips is at USV Jena in Frauen Bundesliga 2 (relegated last season; have had Kiwi players for several years)
aimee_athlete "So, now I am here in Jena, Germany.
I am preparing and training my mind mentally and physically to play for @ffusvjena if I get the opportunity. Is my team sitting in last position in Bundesliga 2? Yes currently.
Am I embarrassed? not at all. I absolutely love Jena, the girls and the club in general.
Every day we will push to get better, every day I will push myself to keep my courage strong and I will help this team as much as I can in any facet that I can. I am no miracle worker and will not miraculously change all the results but I wont accept that I can't.
I will live my life the way I want to live it. What I have noticed over this year is that there is ALWAYS an opportunity marked in struggle. Always, but some struggles are not worth fighting and if that does not make you happy - let it go."
Massive achievement for Abbey.
"Former Football Ferns captain Abby Erceg has been recognised for her outstanding performances in one of the sport's premier club competitions."

Abby Erceg:
Guardian Top 100 Best Female Footballers December 2019:
Abby Erceg the only Kiwi, ranked 85th:
https://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactiv...
I'd personally rank her a lot higher considering she's been the best centre-back in the NWSL the last five years in the States.
Western New York Flash and North Carolina Courage: champions 2016, 2018, 2019
North Carolina top of regular standings (only undefeated team) in NWSL Challenge Cup in June - July which replaced the cancelled NSWL regualar season but knocked out in the quarter-final.
Abby NWSL Defender of the Year 2018 and NWSL First 11
Defenders don't get a fair chance in these rankings.
Abby's North Carolina team-mates (strikers and midfielders) Crystal Dunn, Debinha and Sam Mewis rank 18, 22 and 38.
Abby Erceg (North Carolina), Rosie White (Seattle) and Katie Bowen (Utah):

Has anyone compared viewing England's FA WSL on FA Player v Spark?
Any differences in streaming quality or functionality? If so, are you using Android / Chromecast or PC?
Can we still view the Spark coverage on FA Player in NZ?
I'm signed-up to both, so I'm not too concerned about availability; wondering which service is best to view them on.

I asked Spark last week if there deal was going to mean the end of FA Player access here and they said it wouldn't, but that the two games they show each week would be in higher quality on Spark.
