Edwards in goal for Sydney. Looks like she had a bit of mixed game last week - some excellent reflex saves, but possibly could have done better on one or two of the goals. We know shes a good shot stopper.

Tonight, she looked stuck to her line as Brisbane scored the opener. Thats always been her weakness to my mind, but I thought she had improved based on the few sightings we got of her last year

Bunge had a shocker here
Bunge was also pretty poor in the tackle leading up to the first goal also. Only saw the highlights, but room for improvement.

Katie Rood. No mention in the article as to where she is at football wise.

From memory was actually scoring a few goals for Hearts in Scotland before doing her ACL last year. Had put herself in the frame for the WWC squad. Sadly not to be.

Now 32 she maybe looking at post football stuff now.

Would be a good experienced recruit for the new Auckland ALW side next season, if she's still interested in playing pro football. Though by then she would have been out of the game for over 2 years.

The Durham vs Sheffield United cup match had four kiwis starting: Foster and Blake for the hosts, Hand and Page for United. Durham won on penalties, Foster converting hers.

NWSL career over?
Possible Auckland FC captain for their first season? Does the ALW allow marquee signings?

Is she the right type of person, to lead a likely young squad? From afar hasn't seem to give those vibes, more favouring the 'old guard', and a bit out of touch with the football scene in NZ.

She might be looking more at options in that new American women's comp or new Canadian women's comp.

Friends of Football NZ Facebook page has an interview with Macey Fraser. Be interesting to hear if she talks about her leaving the States early.
Goes for 45 mind though, so....hopefully someone else listens....

Gabi Rennie leaves Finland for 2nd tier Sweedish club. Niche Cache -

Rennie will be joining Swedish second-tier club Eskilstuna United on a one-year contract (not the same club as Otto Ingham plays for – that’s Eskilstuna AFC in the men’s third tier). Eskilstuna United are a relatively young club, only founded in 2002, but they’ve spent a decent amount of time in the Damallsvenskan.

Well that is AFC's GK sorted for next season.

Would seem so. A signature almost marquee signing for the AFC ALW team if so.

Though why leave Villa now when the next ALW season doesn't start for around another 9-10 months.

Probably genuine personal reasons. AFC having a team next season is just good fortune for both parties (if she decides to sign for them)

No idea if Jenkins is in the frame, but Football Ferns squad will likely be named in next 1-2 weeks. Hannah Blake (2 goals for Durham in English 2nd tier) likely more of a chance??

Ferns play Costa Rica 23rd & 26th Feb.

Ideally, they'd both be included.

As per YH's post elsewhere.
Likely a good move for Clegg to get playing time.

Meikayla Moore also to play in this new Canadian pro league in 2025.

Be interesting to see what happens with Macey Fraser at Utah. She got some NWSL mins, but then injured, and then turned up strangely in NZ.

Whoever has been advising Clegg on her career needs to give themselves an upper cut.
Didn't sign pro at the Nix, so she could go to an American university. That didn't happen. Went to WSW for what reason? What was the point of that? Then, after not playing for ages, signs into arguably the #1 league in the world where, surprise, she doesn't play. Then loaned to a league that's no better than where she started with the Nix.
What a waste of 2 years development.
