Wow didn't see this coming. Serie D is the 4th tier so not bad, though the jump to C is very hard.
I thought he'd come home to L'Aquila where his family comes from and playing with his brother in a sort of early, pub football retirement. Glad to hear he's putting himself out there.
Has already started in a 0-0 draw.
Notaresco are currently joint last in their group (with 2 other teams) on 12 points from 16 games. Still early times and quite congested at the bottom.

Scores in his second game, against former club AJ Fano (8) as Notaresco (18) gra. an important come from behind 2-1 win.
Notaresco up to 16th and outside of the drop zone, just.

Serie D not really worth following too closely, however I just discovered Notaresco won not one but two play out matches to stay in the Italian 4th tier.
Scimia scored one in the first game, followed by a double in the final, including the extra time winner!
Absolute scenes as the team returned home after their important away win.

New year, new club. After 20 games and 5 goals for Notaresco (including a double in the play outs), Scimia joins Serie D outfit San Benedetto Calcio. They were previously known as Sanbenedettese and even played in Serie B for 21 seasons (not since 1989 though).
In recent times the club was dissolved and re-created a few times (the current outfit only dates back to 2021).

He'd be hoping to win promotion and add to his 52 caps and 10 goals in Serie C with Fano and Rende.
Luca Scimia now playing in serie d for San benedetesse who are favourites to win to advance to serie c. They are currently top of the table. Very good club with 6000 fans at home games. Well worth following. Ended last season saving notaresco from relegation who bought him in the January market as they were bottom of the table. Scored 3 goals in the play outs to keep them in seria d.

Just did an update on him on another thread as his brother is playing senior football too now (in Eccellenza).
Samb are a storied club in Italy but realistically he needs to be performing in Serie C at a minimum to get a look in, especially given his position.
