He was on trial at Derby and injured his ACL so had no chance of getting a contract.

Playing for Waitakere.

Rated as No. 19 of top 20 centrebacks in whole world born in 1994 !!! Not to be taken very seriously perhaps, but a curiousity:

The club arranged for Adams to begin his recuperation with Andy Williams, a highly-respected knee specialist in London. With Williams’ expertise and his own resolve, the Melbourne-born Kiwi has fought his way back to fitness and will now look to take advantage of the opportunity Derby have offered him.

That mean musa is going somewhere else?

I would put this down to the Coveny and Sean Douglas connections.

Grumpy old bastard alert

loving the kiwi connection we're forming.  Musa Eagar and Adams all there in the back this season.  Can see us possibly putting him alongside musa and pushing eagar into holding midfield or even pushing Musa to left back and partnering Adams at centre back.

South Melbourne just signed CB Lachlan Jackson from the Roar, maybe Adams isn't cutting the mustard?

Playing left back isn't he?

no playing centre back.  great in the air.  signed jackson because we need backup defenders.  one defender out for the season eagar suspended.

Interesting. I thought he was really poor in the air when he was here, probably the weakest part of his game.

You know we belong together...

rumours around the club that Adams will be called up for the oceania nations cup which means we'll be missing him for around 5 weeks possibly.

how's he been going Johnny? Do you think he could cut it at A League level now? I always thought he had potential when he was with us

Sad state of affairs if he's being selected for NZ yet we are asking those questions.

At least he's got a club and is being paid to play....

adams is probably our best defender.  also likes to pop up forward for a goal or 2.  his passing is quite good and his tackling is very good aswell.  i honestly think he'd be good enough for another go with the nix although in saying that i'd much prefer him stay with us haha.  hes a top bloke aswell.  very friendly to talk to.  was absolutely shattered when they were disqualified from the olympics.

Adams will play for Eastern Suburbs in the 2016-17 New Zealand Football Championship but has agreed to return to South Melbourne for the 2017 NPL Victoria campaign

They are lucky - Musa burnt TW when he skipped the return to South Melbourne part a few years back ( I believe)
