Feels like this kid can't catch a break. 3 months for a knee op isn't terrible all things considered.
But I really hope he's getting the best advice available out there. With the amount of injuries he's had to date, I wonder if there's something "wrong" with him from a biomechanical point of view.

Look at Ryan Thomas. Plagued by injuries. Eventually realises what the underlying cause is, has one final surgery and is now flying. But it took him until 30 years of age to get there. Really hope for MDD he's able to overcome his issues much more quickly.

Chesterfield first-team coach Gary Roberts: “[Dibley-Dias] had a successful operation. It is a blow for us because he is such a good player and it is a blow for the lad because he has had no luck since the start of his career. He has had a couple of injuries now, a couple at Fulham and a couple here with his ankle and now his knee. It is not good, he will be out for a couple of months. He can’t do too much as you can imagine after an operation but he is back at Fulham and he will be there for a couple of months. We will get him back when he coming towards the end of rehab.”

Okay... so we won’t be hearing from Dibs any time soon. He’s now back at Fulham for his recuperation after knee surgery although with some luck he could be back in contention for Chesterfield around the turn of the year.

Interesting the loan is over and he has returns to Fulham (where he has been for rehab anyway). A few months recovery time has past, hopefully it's not a complicated injury that's causing more issues.

Has joined Tommy Smith on loan at Braintree Town for the rest of the season

Was an unused substitute as Braintree Town scored two late goals to beat Truro City 3-2 on Saturday

Smith came off the bench for the last 20 minutes to make his first appearance since November 8

Dibley-Dias still looking for his first playing time since his last outing for Chesterfield on August 30

So curious to know how Prem clubs assess a players ability.

The fact he’s gone all the way down to 5th tier in the UK is crazy to me and he’s still tied to Fulham. He’s pretty much playing at NPL level now.

Similar to Cam Peupion ( Australia ) few years ago. Gets on the pitch/bench for Brighton. Then all of a sudden couldn’t get a gig at a relegation League 1 club.

In England, it is common to send young players to the National League because there is no transfer window closure date. In his case, it has nothing to do with his ability; as he recovered after the closure of the transfer window in the other English leagues, Fulham has sent him there to play a few games.

MD-D a full game for Braintree in a 1-2 loss to Carlisle. No Tommy Smith.

No MDD or Tommy Smith for Braintree who lost 3-2 overnight, and look doomed for relegation.
6 pts from safety with only 4 National League games left.

Really sad for Matt how injuries have blighted his career.
A few years ago he was a star of Fulham's youth team and even made it to the bench a couple of times for the Premier League side.
And was selected by the All Whites for friendlies (but never appeared due to suffering an injury in training with the AW's).
I hope that he regains fitness in the coming off-season and can resume a club career at a decent level.

MD-D 75 mins (0-1) as Braintree Town (23rd/2nd last) lost 1-2 to Rochdale (2nd).

Tommy Smith on the pine for BT as an unused sub. His first match day squad since 24th March.

BT need to win all their 3 remaining matches to stay up, and hope one of Sutton, Eastleigh  or Aldershot are winless in their last 3 games. Tall order.

Braintree Town have one remaining match (at Tamworth, 11.30pm Saturday
NZ time) and are already relegated?

A big win for Rochdale who now face York this weekend in a 2 v 1  final-round clash to decide who gets the automatic promotion spot.

Right you are. Teams have played 45 games, with yes 1 game left.

I thought I read 43 games played. My bad.

So Tommy S, has one National League game left to get some mins. He's left sided, so if Nando with his dislocated shoulder is ruled out of the WC..........well cue the fan angst
