From what his old man told me Fulham wanted a sell on fee inserted in order to allow him leave on a permanent move.
Apparently that scares off League One and League Two clubs.
Barring an extreme set of circumstances (or injury - let's hope not!) we won't see him back at Fulham again and if nothing can get done before the end of the 26/27 season then he'll leave on a free next year.
