Boxall for sure would miss MU's MLS game 11th Oct.

But it also looks to be over 20 hrs travelling time from both Portland and Minny to Bahrain. AWs play 2nd game (Bahrain 13th Oct). Both Timbers & MU play 17th Oct. Boxall & Tuiloma would probably be back at their clubs about 15th Oct, after a full day travelling on 3-4 flights & 4-5 airports. Their clubs won't be keen on that at all.

For sure their MLS coaches will try pressure them to forgo a couple of international friendlies, at such an important time of their MLS seasons.

Would Talay have been happy if say Hemed was called up by Israel just prior to Nix facing their last 5-6 crunch games season?! Israel for example to play Faroe Islands and Lithuania in a couple of friendlies, with a 40 hour round travel trip for Hemed.

Similar scenario to be fair, and don’t forget Boxall snr has just signed a new 2 deal with MU, where he earns his bread. Behind the scenes, it will be far from straightforward getting him and Tuiloma to Manama. Esp when just a month later in November, during that FIFA window, MLS will actually be on a 2 week break (8th to 21st Nov), pre playoffs starting 21st Nov.

So MU & Portland could just say, why not miss the Oct window, when playing at least 1 game in the Nov window (8th to 16th Nov) for the AWs should be fine. Tuiloma & Boxall may even be able to skip their final regular season MLS games 8th Nov (so joining AWs for full Nov window) if their club teams are already guaranteed their MLS playoff spots.

It’s close to 20 hrs travelling time Portland and Minny to Bahrain. I doubt their MLS coaches won’t try pressure them to forgo a couple of international friendlies
