Hope he's being considered for the NZ u-20's if a Spanish Second Division club thinks he's good enough. He'll be 19 in May. He joins two Aussies at the club: former Melbourne Victory midfielder Theo Markelis who signed in January and Calvin Lovric (on loan from Parma).
He'll be playing in the Hercules B team (reserves) in the Regional Preferente – Group 4 (the top regional league of Valencia and Alicante divided into four groups of 18 teams - the fifth tier of Spanish football, but just one of many regional leagues, so not comparable to the fifth tier in England which is a national comp, e.g. the third tier of Spanish football has 381 teams split over many regional leagues):

Hercules were last in la Liga in the 2010- 2011 season when they famously beat Barca 2-0 at the Nou Camp - last weekend's home loss to Real Sociedad was Barça’s first league defeat by more than one goal since the 0-2 home defeat to Hercules on September 20 2010.

Nicholas Del Moro visits WYNRS
10/06/2013
Hi Nicholas,
Thanks a lot for being here today! It´s being a great pleasure!
1) How are you doing in Italy?
At the moment I´m in a Senior B Club (Ascoli) in the Primavera, which is the equivalent to a reserve team. Things are going really well and we finished our season in 6th position. Are you able to speak Italian? Yes, I was born in Italy so it is a lot easier for me to learn the language.
2) How are you enjoying being back in NZ?
It is good to see my family and friends again. I really enjoy being home!
3) The Italian league is apparently one of the best tactical leagues in the world. Can you feel this influence in your team?
Yes, definitely! The way the Italian Coaches are doing their job, the staff and of course also the football is a lot more organised and tactical than in other styles.
4) How did WYNRS help you to become a professional player? What were the most important training aspects you still benefit from?
I took part in the WYNRS programme for around 8-9 years. Without the help of Miya, Leigh and Wynton it would have been a lot harder! In general I can still benefit from every thing, both football and life skills.
5) What are the differences between NZ and Italian soccer?
I think the Kiwi-Style is a lot more running and physical. The Italian-Style is … I would not say relaxed, but a lot more technical and less running, but you need to make up in other aspects as well.
6) What are your future goals? Where do you see yourself in around 5 years?I want to be playing for the National team. For the All Whites or the Squadra Azzurra?... Awww - still not sure. Both of them but the All Whites would be great.
And of course playing in Europe, get a first team contract and scoring plenty of goals.
