North of the border, Rory Fallons Aberdeen picked up a vital win over Dunfermline in the Scottish Premier League. Fallon failed to get on the score sheet in the 4-0 win but did force two sharp saves from Pars goalkeeper David Gonzalez.

The point also gets Aberdeen out of the relegation zone, although only on goal difference.
Six minutes after coming on as a substitute, Fallon's low shot from six yards beat Esson after he was picked out by Milson.
"Belief is one of Fallons bedrocks. After finding God with his wife Carly on a holiday in Tenerife, the striker has found a purpose."
LOL! I wonder if God and Carly felt a bit sheepish. I bet they never went back to Tenerife again.

I know this is a pretty poor way to evaluate a players performance but it just struck me as funny that Rory Fallon, a striker, warranted nine mentions in the BBC live text for 8 fouls conceded and one defensive header!
Given all those fouls it's hard to believe there wasn't an entry for "Rory Fallon is shown a yellow card ..."
Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Would he not be behind Wood in the pecking order now???
Surely. Wood be one of my first picks on current form.
You'll never beat The Salmon!
Most fouls of any player at the WC IIRC. That stat and the fact that Xavi made more passes than the entire AWs squad have really stuck in my head

A little tough on Fallon,
He's done nothing wrong in an All Whites shirt, gives fouls but also creates alot through his sheer physicality.
Grumpy old bastard alert

Creates a lot of free kicks to the opposition maybe. I've never seen him create a lot through his sheer physicality. In my humble opinion, he's a donkey.
You obviously rate him, as you're entitled to do.

anyway, i guess my point is that he is pretty good and has more than one dimension to his game.
i'd have wood and smeltz ahead of him, but if we persist with playing three up front, he'd still be close to killen and Kosta for a starting spot as number 3
