Nelsen is back with Blackburn...maybe he will play on the 28th

In the nights other clashes, Blackburn beat Birmingham 2-1, and there was also some good news for All Whites supporters as the recently injured Kiwi skipper Ryan Nelsen featured on the bench.

Awesome interview. when he says he'll be cruising the country signing his book in a fw weeks, does he mean NZ or UK?

wicked to think he considers playing for the nix in a few seasons.

I'm seriously wondering whether he will get a game for Blackburn for the rest of the season. The kid who has stepped in for him, Phil Jones is playing really well and having watched most rovers games this season I have to admit that his partnership with Samba at the back is better than when Nelson was paired with Samba.

If our best player isn't getting games just before the wc it aint good news.

Just watching the live Premier league game (12.30am NZ kick-off):
Ryan on in the 32nd minute against Man Utd as sub for the injured Samba.
What a game to make your return in!!!
And great news for the All Whites!!!
Timing of his return to action is good- should be fit enough now and get a few games in before end of Premiership season in three weeks.
Game is 0-0 at half-time (Blackburn at home).

Game finished 0-0, thus seriously denting Man United's title aspirations.
Strong defensive effort from Rovers- and Ryan came through 100% fine.
He had quite a good game, putting himself about and making some important tackles to prevent likely goals.

It could possibly be his 4th league goal this season? At least his third.

I heard it was his fourth of the season, after only scoring one league goal prior to this season. He's peaking at the right time!

Definitely over his knee problems with that goal. He had a knee up with that shot.

Almost rolled his ankle this morning, stood on the ball and slipped over in the technical area. Lucky he was straight up and just look embarrassed.

Also, had a part in the first goal calmly sliding the ball to a team mate in the box.

Photo on BBC didn't have him with the captain armband (celebrating 2nd goal). Had it fallen off?

i know i'll probably get sh*t for saying this, but if he misses this world cup i'm not going to be happy, he is never there when we need him, i know it kind of a good excuse, but honestly, i want to see him actually play for all whites...... (i know Bahrain games, but before that???)
