2-1 loss for Zwolle, Thomas picking up a yellow in added time. Showed some nice vision with his passing and looked good on the ball in the parts I saw.

Yep...Zwolle now 7 x games without a win.

Commentator did say...."..a really promising player, an extreme talent which he's shown on a number of occasions...."

4-1 away win in the Cup on Monday vs Excelsior to make the quarters. Full 90 again for Ryan. Last game of 2013 = away to mighty Feyenoord Sunday am NZT

http://translate.google.co.nz/translate?hl=en&sl=nl&u=http://www.peczwolle.nl/&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dpec%2Bzwolle%26rlz%3D1C1AFAB_enNZ468NZ468%26espv%3D210%26es_sm%3D93

"...A fine strike from Ryan Thomas, who Rochdi Achenteh sent away, landed at the feet of Lutz. He scored the 0-3. Not much later Excelsior could still make a eretreffer through Veldwijk. Achenteh also picked up a hit with it, his commitment was too powerful for Deckers.

Thursday is thus known who find PEC Zwolle in the quarterfinals of the Cup. Saturday is the last league match of the 2013 program. Again Zwolle plays than in Rotterdam De Kuip Feyenoord is the opponent. It will kick off at 20.45."

2-0, this could be a slaughter. Feyenoord in total control, Thomas won't get to see much ball today.

He played the whole match, during the 90 minutes Feyenoord was way better ( they are potential champion of the league as well Ajax, Vitesse and Fc twente). Zwolle will hopefully be able to get playoff matches for the Europa League. There are 2 possibilities; 1. at the end of the season get with the first eight and win the playoff matches to get the EL ticket. 2. Win the national cup, Zwolle is in the quarter final and they draw an amateur team (cuijk). Zwolle will be playin at home and im sure they will win. Then it is only 2 matches to win (semi and the final). Well i be keeping you guys updated from the Netherlands (kerkrade to be precise, Vicelich old team Roda jc is in my city).

Simon Hampton @simonhamptontv3

Tonight on @3Sport I speak with @Ryan__Thomas_ about his recent rise in the Eredivisie with PEC Zwolle.

Good profile of Ryan with background on him, interview while currently on holiday with his family in the North Island, Declan Edge interview, some Ere Divisie match footage, footage from PEC Zwolle TV with his homestay family etc.

He sees himself playing in the Premier League in a few years.

Watch it tonight replayed at about 7.47 pm on TV3 Plus1

You're right - photo is Mustafa Saymak after scoring the winner.

Extended highlights including Ryan's goal from different angles (plus celebration) and controversial penalty:

Ryan also earned the penalty which was converted by Fernandez to go ahead 2-1. Were playing Ivan Vicelich's old side Roda JC.

Post-match interview with Ryan (in English) and Benson (in Dutch):

Fan footage of Zwolle supporters going off after they go 3-1 ahead:

Ryan is really on fire!!! Involved in so much of the best attacking play.

We seem to produce a player for the Dutch First Division about every six years now:

Fred de Jong 1990 - 1994; Ivan Vicelich 2001 - 2007; Ryan Thomas 2013 +

I also like Ron Jans the manager who is a very positive and happy fellow, is a great motivator and has extensive youth coaching experience so really brings the best out of young players like Ryan...

Trent Sainsbury from Central Coast Mariners signed for PEC Zwolle last week. Of course the youth coach at Zwolle is former Adelaide coach Rini Coolen so he can scout Aussie talent.

Amazing game from Ryan. Scored the first, drew the pen for the second, and forced the turnover which led to the third. Hard to imagine he was only playing Central league not even a year ago.

Ryan didn't play in the 2-1 away win mid-week v Utrecht in the Eredivisie

Trent Sainsbury debuted for Zwolle on Thursday evening  but on 70 mins collided with a sprinkler and broke his knee - out for six to eight weeks.

Zwolle at home to Ajax tomorrow (Sunday) morning - coach Jans must have rested Ryan in prep for this one...

KNVB Cup semifinal game between PEC Zwolle and NEC will be on Wednesday, March 26 at 20.45 at Zwolle's  Ijsseldelta stadium
