Thanks Top Left.

And yes Thomas makes his competitive PSV debut.

5 mins off the bench in 4-1 win over VVV.

Malen with a double now has 10 league goals in 9 games.

PSV’s next game is against FC Utrecht away after the international break so hopefully he gets some minutes as I’ll be pitch side.

Stays on a large PSV bench (12 named) as PSV suffer a shock 3-0 loss at Utrecht.

PSV did have 2 players sent off (68 & 74 mins), incl midfielder Jorrix Hendrix - so some suspensions might open a chance for Thomas to get some playing time.

PSV were down 1-0 before the send offs.

I was there, great atmosphere and great result for Utrecht. Was really hoping Ryan would get on but thought it was less and less likely as the game went on due to it being a tight contest then the two red cards all but ending his chances. Besides the suspensions the PSV midfield were poor. I haven’t watched many PSV games this season but if Hendrix and Rosario are the best they have Ryan shouldn’t have too much trouble getting into the side if he can regain his PEC form and build up some match fitness.

Came off the bench after 84 minutes in a 0-0 draw with LASK at home. They sit top of the group after 3 games

Great news that he's slowly working his way back into the mix

Probably just a case of being out of sight, out of mind. Being out for an extended period will do that... he's only just recently back in the first team setup with some cameo's off the bench. He'll warm to the task and hopefully find himself in contention for a starting spot, week in week out.

It is good to see him back again though. Been far too long with such a nasty injury. He'll be in the AW's squad to play Ireland & Lithuania too I'd imagine, so should see some meaningful playing time in the not too distant future too.

Starting debut to forget for Thomas. Straight red after VAR intervention midway through the first half. Looked pretty disconsolate trudging off aswell.

AZ 2-0 up with 20 to go.

Ryan Thomas red card.

Not ideal!

shocking tackle over the ball, but don't worry Jacob Spoonley will defend him.you have got to ask what was going through his mind to do a tackle like that he new the card was coming.

The two tackles that lead to red cards last week for PSV were worse. Have to wonder what van Bommel is saying to them.

Fuck this stupid game

it really has been a horror start at his new club. Out for a whole season and unless I am mistaken I believe that this was his first league start? - with a red card and a 4 nil hiding to a club they would expect to beat

Auckland will rise once more

The ref with a really good 'psych!' moment as he pulls out the yellow card at first, looks to shake his head, puts it back and then pulls out the red. Toying with the lad. ?

Considering how he used to play, he's probably saying 'good job, but go harder next time'

Good.. Couple more weeks to work on fitness for Thomas :-)

If anyone will understand a bad tackle and red card, it's Van Bommel.

Got a 2 game Eredivisie suspension after his red card last week.

Missed 2-2 draw with Sparta Rotterdam on the weekend.

Will also miss game against Willem II this coming weekend. That is PSV's last game before AWs matches in Nov window.

PSV also have a Europa League game against LASK on Friday. Perhaps Thomas could play in that?

PSV thumped 4-1.

Not having a great time of late.

Drop to 3rd in their group on GD. Big game away to Sporting end Nov, then finish with group bunnies Rosenberg.

Thomas stays on the bench, and unfortunately will be a bit underdone for AWs. Misses Everdivisie game this weekend as suspended.

Starting for PSV against Heerenveen.

Subbed off at 74 mins, in a 2-1 win.

Same score when he came off.

PSV stay in 3rd spot, 11 points behind Ajax.

On the bench for a Europa Cup group game at Sporting Lisbon.

3rd in their group (Lisbon top), PSV probably need min a draw to stay alive.

Rivals for 2nd (LASK on same points at mo) travel to group easy beats Rosenberg in other group match.

PSV do host Rosenberg in their last game.

PSV down 3-0 at HT.

Two changes made at the break, but Thomas not introduced.

Not looking great for PSV, as LASK lead Rosenberg 2-1 in the other group game.

Finished 4-0 to Sporting.

Thomas got 10 mins off the bench late. Same scoreline.

LASK beat Rosenberg 2-1, to go 3 pts ahead of PSV, with one group round left.

I presume if finish on same points (ie PSV win last game & LASK lose) get separated by GD?

At the moment LASK have a +4 GD & PSV now -3 GD.

So PSV would really have to thrash an unmotivated Rosenberg in Eindhoven (possibility), and also hope Sporting have a comfortable win over a motivated and probably defensive LASK in Lisbon.

Head to head is the first tie breaker.

So PSV are done.

Ahh in that case, yes they are sunk. A draw and 4-1 loss against LASK in Europa League group games.

11 pts behind Ajax in the Eredivisie, their best hope of any silverware this season would appear to be the the Dutch Cup.

They'll also be desperate to grab a UCL qualifier spot for 2020, by finishing min 2nd in the league. AZ are only 5 pts ahead of them.

Starting again in the Eredivisie for PSV, this time at Emmen (14th).

Full game in a game away that PSV dominated with 56% possession.

Picked up a yellow. On the left in a 3 man central midfield. 3-3-4-1

PSV stay 3rd, two points ahead of Willem II (4th), and 7 points behind AZ who are 2nd.

Out of curiousity - and I know he's spent over a year out with his serious ACL injury - but last time he scored a goal was September 2017 with PEC Zwolle.

Lets not forget he once scored 2 goals in the Dutch Cup final. So as he gets back up hopefully to full fitness and confidence, be great to see him bag a few again.

90 mins in a 5-0 thrashing of Fortuna Sittard.

Unfortunately Thomas didn’t get on the scoresheet, but great to see him continuing to log game time.

PSV go back up above Willem II into 3rd.

fans seem to be very happy with him. saw a post on the PSV forums saying he's glad they finally have a midfielder that can pass more than 10 metres

61 mins in a dead rubber Europa League game verus Rosenborg.

PSV were down 1-0 when he came off, and scored their goal soon afterwards.

Not in match day squad as PSV (4th) travel to Feyenoord (9th)

Not listed as injured that I can see. So possibly PSV just managing his playing loads, as he returns from that bad knee injury

PSV comfortably beaten 3-1 by Feyenoord (3-0 down until 84th minute) - so probably only strengthens Thomas's position in normal starting eleven.

Mark Van Bommel was sacked after the defeat at Feyenoord too. Not having a flash season so far.

Will be interesting to see what's in store for Thomas after this move too.

Not in match day squad as PSV beat GVV from the Dutch 3rd tier, 2-1 away in Dutch Cup. ET required, after score 1-1 end of NT

According to this week’s Flying Kiwis, Thomas missed the weekend Feyenoord game due to injury.

Hopefully nothing serious.

Still out injured, as PSV recover from being 1-0 down to beat Thomas’s old side Zwolle, 4-1.
