On Saturday Tzimopoulous' team lost 1–2 at home to 14th place team Asteras Tripolis. He played the full 90. PAS Giannina are currently 3rd on the table.
On Sunday the 20th they play AO Xanthi (9th) away.

On 23 November Giannina drew 0–0 at home to APO Levadiakos and on the 26th they defeated PAE Veria 2–0 at home again. Tzimopoulos has helped earn 5 league clean sheets and 6 overall.
On 5 December they lost 2–1 away to Iraklis. A disappointing loss, considering at the time Giannina were 2nd and Iraklis 16th. However Tzimopoulos got his first assist of the season. He played 90 minutes on each occasion.
Meanwhile in the Greek Cup, where they haven't been playing Tzimopoulos, they have won their two first matches 1–0. The cup has an initial group phase round before going into the knockout stages and Giannina are first in Group 4 with 6 points.
On Monday, 12 December (13 Dec NZ) they will play at home against Olympiacos, who are first with 25 points compared to Giannina's 17 points. The Greek league is an extreme version of the Scottish league unfortunately, where the title has always been decided even before the season starts, as Olympiacos almost always win; Olympiacos have won 18 of the last 20 league titles. So in other words 95% chance they'll lose this one.
The very next day they play in the cup away to AEL Kalloni, so I guess the cup isn't meant for first team players at all at least in the initial stages. Giannina have already qualified for the next stage, but a draw or a win would secure a top seed.
Giannina having a pretty good season to date. After 12 league games they lie in 6th place.
Most recent games were a 0-2 loss to top of the table Olympiacos, and 1-1 draw against 5th placed AEK Athens.
Themi has started 10 of the 12 league games.
Scored a cracker in a 1-1 draw at Panionios this morning:
Assisted a headed own goal, you mean.
Assisted a headed own goal, you mean.
Sure, but he didn't score a cracker, did he. He had a long-range attempt that was going straight down the keeper's gullet until the defender got in the way.
Scored again! That's 2 from 2, the only goal in a win at PAOK:
He's a wee superstar is Themi
Played 90 minutes as a defensive mid in a 1–0 home win against Panionios. On the 15th he played 90 minutes as a centre-back in a 2–0 away loss to AO Xanthi.
Next match is tomorrow morning (NZ time) at home to PAOK. PAOK are currently 7th with 23 pointsand a goal difference (GD) of +11. Meanwhile PAS Giannina are 5th with 25 points and a GD of +3. That slip-up against Xanthi has made them drop a few positions unfortunately, as for some time Giannina were second.
Tzimopoulos played 90 minutes back at CB in a 0–1 home loss against PAOK. Giannina now fall to 7th place beneath PAOK and AEK.
Next match is on Monday the 30th NZ time away to Atromitos Athens who are currently 9th.
He's making a habit of this... scored overnight in a 3-3 draw at Platanias:
He must be playing in midfield being that far forward.
He must be playing in midfield being that far forward.
Yeah, interesting. Playing in front of the back four.
Get him for Nix midfield next season
With the season he is having as a DM... i think he would look for something a little bigger.
Get him for Nix midfield next season
it looks like Greek football is not well supported. He may actually earn more with Wellington
Must be a crucial starter now for the first team, he seems like the strong midfielder the team needs !
His defensive qualities and height make him a prize asset and surely one of the first on the team sheet
A professional playing in the top greek division, we were lucky to find him (all be it at 28 !), felt like a new signing
Be interesting to see if the All Whites look at using him in midfield, especially with Tommy Smith coming back to partner Winston Reid at CB.
Would be a great replacement for lia.

Crowds in most European leagues have been on the decline in the past several years. For top level European leagues, Greece is one of the worst.
Comes back a lot to the Greek financial crisis. Not the only reason, but it's a pretty big one when there's not much spare cash around the place.
Despite the crowds not being too big, it is still a very respectable and respected league.
Themi hasn't played for Giannina since 1st April when looks like he was injured (subbed after 30 mins according to Soccerway) in a game against Xanthi in the Greek Super League.
Must be a reasonably serious injury if he hasn't played for a month??
Of interest after Themi got injured, Giannina didn't win a game (3 losses & a draw), to finish 8th in the Super League. Regular season finished on the weekend.
Transfermarket (grain/salt etc) have it as a Medial collateral ligament injury with a return date of this week.
Back training.
Giannina start league season with 2-1 win. Themi plays full 90 mins.
What's his target for yellow cards this season?
Themi plays 90 mins in a 0-0 home draw with AEK Athens.
Expect him to now be close to starting against Solomons (Reid & Smith out plus Durante likely not match fit) so important to see he is coming off some playing time. Maybe he wasn't fully fit at Confeds Cup (missed end of Greek season with injury).
Picks up a yellow in a 0-0 draw
Another yellow for Themi in a 1-1 draw
What's his target for yellow cards this season?
On track for a solid number.

Played 90 mins for Giannina, in a 0-1 loss to PAOK. Card free.
Out of interest, PAOK only started with one Greek player.
A goal and a yellow overnight (3rd in 7 games). Goal highlights below. Nicely taken header from a corner for Themi.
