He also went with the USA U19s on a tour of Argentina they did last year. Handy tour for them in retrospect given 12 months later, Argentina were given the U20 WC hosting rights off Indonesia.

So be really interesting if the Americans planned to select him for their U20 WC team, but he said no I'm focusing on my club opportunities in the UK. Bit similar to Dibley-Dias, who was definitely approached by NZF about the U20 WC - but he was focusing on Fulham.

With both we can only hope they are good, but not good enough for senior men's USA, England, Portugal or Brazil. I'm sure NZF will also be offering the carrot for both of the OlyWhites and Paris Olympics next year. Bazeley could even invite both into AWs camp, for October friendly(ies).

With Bindon's Mum & Dad both playing for NZ, and him living their reportedly until age 13 - you'd hope (like Jay Herdman) there is some emotional tie to NZ. Need to monitor for any silver fern tattoos! But yeah you can also see way he'd be in no hurry to make a decision, with a 'home' WC in 2026. Given very long shot that he would currently be for the USMNT team in 3 years.
