Good enough to be an All White if he can make a go of it in this league?

None of our other players in Scandinavian leagues have been selected by Hudson, so no. He should play for Onehunga if he really wants to prove himself at a high level

People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis. You can't trust people.

He's unlikely to be selected by Hudson as he's a ball-playing CB.

Genuinely happy for any Kiwi kid who gets a professional gig in Europe. Hope he does well.

However lets not forget the Superettan is only the Swedish 2nd division.

Plus with that apologist T Smith, back in the good books with Hudson the AWs are not exactly short of quality experienced CB options.

If he was a ball playing central midfielder.......................different story.

Superatten, which is Tier 2. Same league as GAIS (Steven Old, Dan Keat)

Lissette has started first two games of Superatten season for Varnamo. Two convincing wins 4-0 and 5-3. Nice start.

Another playing regularly for his club in Swedish Div 2. Varnamo lie 9th in the league, a spot above GAIS.

Yogi told someone I know recently that the pace and athleticism of the league is a step up from anything he has played before.

Continues to be a regular starter for his club Varnamo in Swedish 2nd Div, who lie 9th in the league (18 teams).

Scored his first goal a few weeks ago.

Coochiee, just a fact check for you :)
Varnamo play in the Swedish Superatten which is 2nd tier. 2nd Division in Sweden consists of 6 regions and a heck of a lot more teams.

Correction acknowledged Phillipe - but by 2nd Div I did mean 2nd tier. Just too lazy to type or double check spelling of Superatten Superettan. Grins

Still among the first names on the team sheet, 25 appearances (from 26 games) with only four games left in the season. Looking like IFK Varnamo will finish in mid table, as they currently sit 8th in the Superettan. Latest result however was a 5-0 shellacking from relegation threatened IK Frej.

14 starts in 15 games for Varnamo, who lie dead last in the 16 team league - so league at the half way point.

Varnamo only have 5 points after 15 games, and are 6 points below next team on the table. Would seem to face long odds to avoid relegation.

This being Swedish 2nd division - so one step above league Stevens (and Bevan was) playing in.

Big 1-0 win for Varnamo on weekend, in battle to avoid relegation from Superettan (Swedish 2nd tier).

Lissette an unused sub. Since August he's mostly been relegated to the bench. 16 starts for the season, and 12 times a sub.

Always find it a bit funny when he mentioned in articles with Thomas & Boyd as a Declan success story - considering level he is playing at, and his age at 27 (ie limited upside you would think).

Again with one game to go, Varnamo can't be automatically relegated - but is a reasonable chance they could end up in one of two relegation playoff spots. Those 2 spots are currently occupied by 2 teams who both have a game in hand (both play at home tomorrow) on Varnamo.

Varnamo also finish regular season with an away game, so will need a bit of luck to avoid relegation playoffs.

Varnamo lose 1-0 to Frej, and so will now go into a relegation playoff round.

Lissette was on the bench.

Varnamo (2nd tier) lose a two legged pro/rel playoff 2-3 on aggregate against Syrianska from Division 1 (3rd tier).

So I presume they have been relegated down to the Swedish 3rd tier, ie same level Francis De Vries, Joel Stevens etc have been playing at.

Lissette didn’t feature in either of the playoff games. Wondering whether if him and Varnamo have parted ways, he just became a bench player in 2nd half of the season.

Maybe he’ll also pop in Slovakia for a Jesse Edge visit, like Stevens who’s Swedish side were also relegated.

Has played in all 11 matches of the season so far, assuming alongside Francis de Vries. Varnamo currently sit 4th to last on only 11 points.

Looks like their is a 4 week summer break in the Swedish lower leagues. I guess the whole country is heading to the beach, fjords, ABBA tribute concerts or south of Spain.

Anyway mid point of Division 1 (3rd tier) South season, Varnamo are 12th - one spot above the relegation playoff position.

Lissette and De Vries have both been involved in all 16 league games to date.

With 2 games to go in Division 1 (Swedish 3rd tier), Värnamo are mid table 8th - no promotion, no relegation.

After the league finishes they have a big Cup game, when they host Malmö FF from the top flight.

Malmo currently 2nd in the Allsvenskan, and involved also in the Europa League.

Lissette has played 21 of 28 league games.
