Young Kiwis in UK
The return leg at Turf Moor will take place on March 28, both games will kick off at 7pm.
The winners will face either Chelsea or Manchester United in the final.
Interesting that Payne went over to the uk with the big rep, fresh out of u20s, fanfare, talk of pushing into senior squad, but has struggled to establish himself in Blackburn youth team, while howieson went under radar to burnley and has had great time starring for their youth team. Quite a quirk they are meeting in an FA Cup semi playing for historic rival clubs.
Payne on the bench, Howieson starting for Burnley. Text updates on the rovers website, rumors are the 2nd leg will be on ITV4.

73 MINS: Cameron Howieson replaced by Jason Gilchrist.
72 MINS: Burnley readying a substitute themselves as Jason Gilchrist is ready to come on. It might be for Howieson who doesn't look comfortable.
Rovers big muscular team according to reports and dominated 1st half, but Burnley came back well in the 2nd with Rovers down to 10 for the last 12 minutes. Howieson took a knock, but should be available for next Wednesday (Thursday morning our time), although his replacement has a reputation as a goal scorer (so may get the nod).
For a while, the young stars, unaccustomed to entertaining in such a raucous backdrop, seemed a little overwhelmed. Both sides looked rattled...

"In the second half, you've got a first-year scholar setting the example for everyone else on the pitch and showing them what you need to do. That is a massive positive."

Gutted. Oh well, good player for the proposed Nelson ASB Premiership team.
The midfielder will be available for a free transfer at the end of the current campaign and has left Sixfields in order to gain some first team experience.
New Zealand youth international Built was originally signed by former Northampton boss Ian Sampson in January last year on an 18-month contract.
However, the 19-year-old failed to make the breakthrough to the first team and recently manager Aidy Boothroyd announced Built would leave when this season ends.
Rangers have had their transfer ban lifted - be interesting to see if Scott Basalaj signs now.

[Edit: thats for the 3 youth spots, for the FSE I doubt they are getting much more than free board and food.]
Seems Jamie Doris is now with Berwick Rangers. Played for the reserves vs Eyemouth:

Aberdeen have handed a trial to former Bayern Munich youth goalkeeper Dan Twardzik.
The 21-year-old Czech - who plays in Italy with Serie C outfit Como - has been training with goalkeeping coach Jim Leighton and the rest of the squad.
Also on trial at Pittodrie is New Zealander Te Atawhai Maurice Hudson Wihongi - a friend of Dons striker Rory Fallon.
A statement on the club's website read: "With the January transfer window just around the corner, the manager is constantly reviewing ways in which to develop the current squad and will open the door to a number of trialists over the course of the next few months."
Meanwhile, Gary Naysmith should be fit for this weekend's Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash with Dundee after making his return from injury.
The defender was back in action, after seven weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, as Aberdeen defeated Motherwell in the Under-20 League.
That is quite the name
Rhys Jordan who played for NZ at U-17 WC in Mexico has transferred from Guernsey FC to Bristol City on a contract till the end of the season http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20509774
Nice comments from his former manager.
Must admit i have never heard of the kid before... seems to have been a pretty successful batch the under 17's with Payne, Howies, Tuiloma all doing well plus a couple others who names escape me.
