I hate to be disrespectful to yellowfever, but did anyone see 3 News tonight? It was painful to watch. Four or five members standing there and saying 'who are ya' and looking like prize chumps.

Mildly amusing though.loyalgunner2007-11-27 19:47:20

Today has not been our best work.

Any publicity is good publicity?  Maybe not.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

mercifully nothing on 1 ... yet

i am still trying to climb out of the hole i hid in after reading the Dom P this morning

perhaps we need Feverish to issue a decree promoting the unofficial rule of YF, no contrived TV chants, to an official one with breaches punishable by group forum stoning

It did give me my first ever excuse to use this emoticon though -  - definitely my favourite now

It certainly didn't help the "Oh soccer fans are so quaint" image prevalent in some corners of this country's news media.

But hey, if YF could convert a stone cold rugby fan like myself to the beautiful game, then I have no doubt we'll win some new hearts on Saturday as well.

I also move we keelhaul the first person who compares the atmosphere to the Wellington Sevens.

just need to follow the dictum - the media is there to record the news, not to create the news .....

Would have been five or six members standing there looking like prize chumps if I got the memo. You could call me a chump, but at least I'd be a chump who bleeds black and yellow

was that the TV thing that Feverish was asking people to go to RYOS and be on tv at 12.30 or something?

I must have just missed it. My internet was down, I ended up using an internet cafe at noon! So glad it came back up in time to watch Los Perthgales Gloraxy

Ah well, I'll get other chances. Besides, I've been on TV twice this year thanks to YF

The haste with which you volunteered was embarassing, but not quite as embarassing as the outcome.

True but when only 4 turned up (smithy246 was there but had a "meeting" to go to) I was VERY keen to flag the idea dn go back to work.

Its no longer a problem.

Tall poppies.  Time to bring the media darlings down to earth.  One match ban from the forum I say.
