ABC Grandstand joins on as A-League broadcast partner for next four seasons

ABC Grandstand will cover the A-League for the next four seasons under a historic broadcast agreement.
Every match of the upcoming 2013/14 season will be covered live on ABC radio platforms, including the entire finals series.
Football Federation Australia chief executive David Gallop says Grandstand's commitment signals the growing strength of the A-League.
"Live sports on ABC Radio have long been a staple of Australian life and I'm delighted that hundreds of hours of A-League action will be on the radio this season," he said in a statement.
"The national radio broadcaster adds significantly to our reach at a time when audiences for the A-League are booming and there's a massive surge in interest in football."
ABC Grandstand will call all A-League matches via its website and the ABC Radio mobile App.
It will also broadcast fixtures on ABC Local Radio and Grandstand Digital Radio.
The A-League commences on Friday night with Sydney FC hosting Newcastle Jets at Sydney Football Stadium.
