What a joke. If they want to address lop-sided scorelines, address the competition structures. If players are beating another team 10 zip, put them up a league until they've got some decent competiiton.

Even if they wanted to remove goal difference (which is just idiotitc) why not go on results between teams, then games won, before just jointly awarding it?

Maybe the issue is that they're applying the same rules for the 17 year olds as they are for the 9 year olds. Their intent makes a bit of sense for the 9s, but is getting a bit ridiculous by the time you get to the upper youth grades.
Personally I thought this made a lot of sense, leagues shouldn't be decided by who beats which team 15 nil or 17 nil. I actually think it's pretty sensible.
That article is a complete joke btw, getting loud mouth fallon ranting on about not having winners - no-one is saying anything at all about not recording winners and that's not even slightly the issue there!
